| Think we twice had a penalty near posts where we should have taken 2 and chose to run the ball and dropped it. If we had kicked those the last try would have levelled the game giving Sykes a chance to pinch it.
Ah well onward we go that's the last post from me dwelling on this topic.

We went 12 down from soft, breakaway tries but turned it around; we more than matched Leeds in the forwards and our backs were creative, showed flair and made some excellent decisions. But for a couple of keystone cops moments and some ridiculously one-eyed referreeing decisions, we'd have come away with the spoils and Brian Mac would be facing a very tough day indeed.
I'm disappointed, but the statement quoted above is ridiculous.'"

I don't care if we win, lose or draw as long as the team gives 100% every week and each player wears the shirt with pride.: |

Apologies - not sure what happened but this wasn't the full posting I wrote/thought I had sent late last night.

i only recall one opportunity early in the second half and we ended up scoring through Trout.
Our decisions not to take the 2 have been 100% correct in recent weeks, I just don't understand the fascination with taking the 2 all the time, its old hat, except maybe in bad conditions where point are at a premium. Points were not at a premium last night.

Tend to agree, Leeds were there for the taking and the players seemed confident to take them on.
Can't recall too many opportunities to take the two tbf....

| There's nowt like a Wakey board for a bit of sackcloth and ashes.
You've just won 3 on the bounce.....that's 3 big steps forward. You may have missed out on the points last night, but you put 40 on the champions in their home midden. Not so much as a step backwards more of a small one sideways FFS. And there's a good chance to turn over the Bulls next as well.
Progress, is one game at a time People..... so about Prince William's Coronation you could be giving us a fright!

Less of the false sympathy Billy, you know that you got out of jail last night (especially in the first half.
The upset is because we didn't beat a very poor Rhinos side.
There is some pleaseure however in seeing the Rhinos crown slip down over your eyes and allow you to get battered in all but the final score.
You still have to come and play in our yard though, so we may yet have the last laugh

We're in lofty company there, although most of them had doubled up after the weekend.
I'm still totally gutted

| Just watched the highlights, some of the tries conceded were simply laughable and if had been Trinity who had doubled up it would at least been understandable. The same mistakes and weak defence which have haunted the team over the last few weeks keep occurring with no signs of improving.
On the plus side the attack looked more effective and ruthless when presented with an opportunity to score, although how much that could be attributed to fatigue from Leeds is open tp debate.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching our attack tonight, the structure, depth and dummy runners made it troublesome for Leeds to defend. We looked like scoring on every attack but as you rightly point out you must take fatigue and motivation into account as Leeds never looked like they wanted to be there.
In the same respect, whilst our attack was sublime, our defence was embarassing at times. Lets just hope it gets fixed pretty sharp as it's letting the team down

| Quote: Wakefieldite "On another day 40 points would have been more than enough to secure victory not a problem. However, them whinos will know that they've been in a game this morning. As for us, lets take our frustration out on Bradford on Sunday as we have some unfinished business with them, I still haven't forgotten about their phantom try that they scored against us at Belle Vue earlier this season (the one Brett Kearney "scored" when he was clearly held up and when did eventually ground the ball, he wasn't evenbin the in goal area, never mind on the tryline. Yet that numbskull video ref Ian Smith called that a try?!?!?!). That incident sullied the game and changed it in Bradford's favour. Listen Bradford, you're only chance of beating us this Sunday is if either your best mate Ian Smith is reffing or if the ref happens to be Thierry "Seven Tackles" Aliabert. This is payback time!!!!!'"
Should be a good game. The bulls need to win for the 8... they also have a point to prove after the Saints game & seem to stick together whenever we have `bad news`. I wouldnt have thought it'd be a walk in the park for either side though. Ref is Robert Hicks BTW.. & The referee in which we've won more with is Ben Thaler this season.. Non of the above

| Kyle Amor and Andy Raleigh were the best forwards on the pitch by a country mile; Paul Aiton was an absolute machine - again; Tim Smith was brilliant.
All very positive signs - must hit the tackle bags this week though and fix up our leaky defence; Hardaker and BJB are hard to stop in broken field, but the Ablett try was unforgivable.
Mr Silverwood is far too easily influenced by Sinfield and the Southstand; his decisions were laughable at times, particularly the forward pass that never was and the 'knock-on' that if true, would have required the reflexes of a rattlesnake for that ball to be played at.
Bring on The Dulls - I fancy us for this one.
