| Quote: PopTart "How the hell do you coach rugby out of someone. What an idiotic statement.
Are we seriously saying that we think Agar is coaching them to not catch the ball?
Seriously?
And the reason he keeps playing the same team is because the biggest issue is they are new to each other and need time. Won't help if you just keep changing the team.
I'm all for changes, but not for the sake of it.'"
Touchy???
Idiotic?, given the bile we had endure watching during his time in charge its hardly idiotic.
Just like kosh I was willing to give him his chance. All we ever got was 'wait til e builds his own team', and we have had some decent players who imo haven't played to the best of there ability.
AND imo it did feel like he had managed to coach it out of them.
No plan b, boring rugby that other teams didn't need to take much to figure out..
'Right lads they will go up the middle with a very poor kick on the last'.
Treated the young ones like and blamed players (ie sharp) for his bad gameplans.
I can still remember the relief when it was announced he was leaving and imo again it seems like it hasn't taking long for some of your own fans to start seeing his worthlessness.
For your sake tho I hope I'm wrong.

| Last season with a team of young lads, cast offs and has beens. Kear achieved 7 wins 4 against sides that made the play offs. If Agar achieves the same with double the wage bill is that progress?
The team are not bad players if we went bust everyone of them would get a sl contract, they are just coached badly. My view is that Agar is not the man for the job regardless of how many games played.

| Agar is on a 3 year contract.
He should be given another 6 games to turn it around and show what coaching ability he has got regardless of Hull FC fans input, that was a different set up.
If the poor performances continue after the end of this period then he must go.

You know this how? Are you seriously suggesting that the likes of Aiton, Collis and southern have come over for chicken feed? And the rest are on the same as last years squad?

We are spending around 50% more though are we not? Still a very sizeable increase.

| I'll say the same as I did when he came, see where we are at the end of the season and take a look at the losses, tactics, style of play and how he's used the youth during the year, as any of them improved etc and take it from there. At the moment this is all a complete knee jerk reaction imo, it's only 2 games ago most thought there was genuine improvements.

You are just picking out small episodes to prove your opinion.
Doesn't make you right.
Sorry I don't agree with you here.
Widnes (A) We played well and won in the end. However it was still in the balance untill the sin binning. They have been well and truely thrashed since bar wigan.
Warrington (A) This I think was our best performance so far. Yet still against an under performing out of sorts Warrington we came up short. This game was there to be won and at our best we still didn't. i was happy and very proud at the effort though.
Catalan (H) Fantastic first half to lead by 30 points yet for a spell in the second when we did nothing we were hanging on with an 8 pt lead and biting our nails.
IMO we are not as good as we would like to think we are and the London, Cas games have shown that.

No - we're not as good as some people wish we were, but we're about as good as we have a right to be, given the lead-in to this season we had and the players we were able to pick up.
Most people had quite reasonable expectations for this season prior to it starting - it was always going to be a transitional year, where off-field developments were more important than results and where the Head Coach would be trying to create a team from a group of players signed by the CEO in a panic-buying exercise, which he then bolstered with a couple of gems, Paul Aiton being the stand-out.
A lot of that common sense now appears to have gone out the window and some people have morphed into Hull fans; I can accept that kind of bitterness and disillusionment from people after 2 or 3 years, but after a handful of games, it's just stupid. In my opinion, of course.

| Look at the league table now and the for and against. We have 168 for and 278 against, I appreciate we have played one game less than most. Yet there is only Widnes who have also scored less than 200 and only 5 teams with a worst defence against. Our defence started well early in the season but has completely gone to pot now. Without the ability to score many points we are in real trouble. Either man up in defence, or improve attacking style significantly if not both.

| Defence wins games and TBH our defence aint that bad despite what is being said, we just need to use possession better than we are, stop trying to drive the ball up the middle and use our hookers more/better, we are a bit predictable at the moment, something that we weren't in the first half against Catalans, the season opener at Widnes and the pre-season game against Cas.
Not sure what’s gone wrong, seems Agar has reverted back to Kear style rugby (4 or 5 drives then a kick) rather than spreading the ball about and using possession rather than giving it up so easily.

| Our midfield defence is one of the best in SL but our goal line defence is probably the worst I've ever seen from any SL side. We can't catch or slide.
If we sought out our line defence and attack and we have a good side but that's probably 50% of our game to rectify. Sometimes poor form can come overnight so hopefully it will go the other way for once and 1 good game next time will be the catalyst for more.

No not really, probably only go to around 100 games of RL every year and I'm over 40 and been watching the game since I was 8 or 9 and have coached successful sides so yeah you're probably right and you know far more than me as your previous posts and history on these forums quite clearly demonstrate your superior and objective knowledge not to mention your subjective literary skills and communication acumen
