He missed things for both teams and at vital times for both, the trouble is you only tend to see what he misses for your own team. Ganson had no bearing on the result last night, and that's something I never thought I'd say!'"
I disagree. A lot of Super League games remain tight for long periods early on and it just takes a single decision by an official to break the deadlock. Look at Saints v Wigan last night. The touch judge wrongly suggested Perry was at fault when it was Hock, Wigan got the penalty, yardage and scored to open up a big lead. Not long after a Wigan player lost control of a loose ball but it was missed by the officials leading to another score, game over.

| I am sick and tired of hearing the same old thing after almost every game. One side always loses because of the ref whilst the other side won despite the ref. Why would a ref, who does the job for the love of the game, (and yes, I know they get paid but I don't think that is their main motivation) possibly want to deliberately influence the game in an unfair manner? With regard to missing things, of course they do, they are human, they make mistakes, why criticise the officials more than the fact that your team, whoever they are, missed tackles, dropped passes, and generally made bad decisions. All teams do that and it can contribute to their losing or not but to say that any one thing over an eighty minute game is the sole factor in winning or losing is ridiculous. We will never know what would have happened following the incident we refer to. For example a man is driving his car just touring around and approaches a fork in the road, he goes left and he is killed by an oncoming lorry, if he had gone right would he have survived or been killed by a falling tree? We don't know and never will. Likewise a referee says a pass is forward, which fans believe isn't, this prevents a try being scored but we will never know if that try is the straw which breaks the back of the defence or the catalyst for an epic fightback. Live with it, refs are human and without them we would have no game.

| This thread is just embarrassing. Decision will always go against you at some point in a game; you man up and deal with it. We got mullered by an average Cas team that gave us a lesson in endeavour. A 12-0 penalty count in our favour wouldn’t have changed the result. I think we all have an idea where the blame lies.

| We lost because we were awful. Can't believe any Wakey fan can blame the referee after that performance. Ridiculous.

| Don't think anyone has blamed him for us losing. Just that he is incompetent at best as we seem to get no 50/50s with him in charge

| Yeah, nobody is blaming us for getting beat, just no 50/50 decisions went our way. The amount of times Southern went to him obvs complaining prices we weren't getting any sort of 50/50 etc. and your telling me he 'missed' the high shots in first 15-20 mins. Who knows what would of happened if we got those penalties and got the field position.

| A healthy amount of tries are scored off the back of penalties. 4 or 5 clear headshots mean bad field position = no tries. Ganson was a disgrace as was 11 Wakefield players as is Richard Agar. Bad bad times
