Thanks to the governments wonderful advice on fuel usage I imagine some people will now be put off travelling due to the risk of fuel shortages. Using up all your juice on a rugby trip is not a great idea if you can't fill up to go to work for monday morning.

This is a common misunderstanding and I don't understand why. To strike they have to give 7 days notice. This has not been given therefore many news outlets (BBC www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-17558294) are advising there wont be a strike over Easter.
Why are people filling up/worrying now, wait for the 7 days notice first at least. |

My petrol light came on today as I was driving back from Leeds; went to my usual place to fill up and they were out of fuel. Went to 2 other places - also out of fuel. Finally found the BP on Lupset with petrol aplenty and a que of cars down Horbury Road, and when I got to the pump, I inexplicably filled it to the brim, which I never normally do.
I panic bought due to peer pressure!
