Spoke with Kempy last week who thinks the kid will go really well for us over here.Tall, good hands and a decent kicking game, the lad was pushing first grade again and was one of the reasons their reserve side made the grand final.

For me doesnt matter whether he was pushing first grade or not, what i want to see is how good a partnership he can form with the other half backs and how well he plays. Its a pivitol position for a relativly unkown player to take on lets hope he's a gem like henry paul.

We dont want a crap player signed on reputation like other overseas signings we've had you only have to look at j smith last year, signed on his reputation performed well below expectations.

What reputation did J Smith have?!

A lot of that was down to injuries he suffered but still I don't remember him coming here from Salford with much of a rep.

FWIW I'm confident we have the raw product of an international here.

What we have to do is support his transition & development at every stage.

With Tony Kemp's recommendation to add to that of Henry Paul, Monty Betham & Hull FC that's quite a good list of referee's to call in. I wish I had similar people in my field to call in on my CV!!!

IJ plays a good creative game, albeit in the #13 role & has a decent kicking game with ball in hand- something we lacked since Broughy left! He'll blossom at #6 IMO.

From the info the club has posted out/ what Isaac has posted on twitter; his transition seems to be seamless. His visa was relatively quick, he was impressed with pictures of his house & was greeted at the airport by the clubs most senior staff. Even the most "down to earth" WTW fan must see this is a world away from where we were 2 years ago. Take Shane Tronc (my favourite #8 EVER!) and how he was treated by TR et al. Sickening to say the least!

"The Glover approach" seems to be doing the business & I'm confident, that with our rapidly recuperating reputation & long established history, we'll be a big draw from player & sponsors in years to come.

As far as IJ goes (and I'm willing to be quoted on this at a later date!!): In 18 months we'll be worrying if we can get him to sign an extension to keep the vultures (giants) away, this lad has the potential to be as good as Henry Paul IMO.

nice post G.Price Fan. I have seen some of his games on NSWRL and NRL and yes i agree Isaac has a lot to offer. Once he gets established and gains more confidence in his new team i think he will be an asset. It must be hard for them getting use to a new team let alone a different country / culture.

Its the least we should be doing when you sign someone from the other side of world..dont big gliver or elston up..in what theyve done its the minimum rwquired..t be honest thought we looked a bit ammerteurish in blatant asvert in meeting thwm in next seasons myst av fashion...seems our clubs now ron on twitter as well..
