Quote: Gelderdend "York made a cheeky enquiry due to all the speculation regarding new half back signings ? but got nowhere with it, Why would he want to leave wakey he's the only SH we have ?. The future is Wakefield !!!'"

Good stuff. I'd like to see Moore and poss kaye in the odd game partner Isaac John in the halves. think Moore could make a very good player but we also need to give him time and not expect too much too soon. If we do sign smith then I hope it's not only for a playing role but also to help develop players like Moore Kaye and wildie. Him together with agar and Webster who were good half backs themselves should really be able to develop our youngsters

I think that Wildie should be given the first shot at half alongside a.n.other in front of Moore. Played mostly in reserves as a halfback i think and looked good in a part of a game last season when he was given a short run at 7.

Think wildie will continue his development at hooker. Impressed me in that role and I can see him and davey sharing the duties with ellis

I'd be disappointed if we weren't developing Moore next season; I think he's got the skills, attitude and aptitude to be a great player but would agree with the poster who mentioned a lack of 'rugby toughness.' A dual reg would help with that, perhaps at Fev or Dewsbury - can't see him feeling too comfortable at Batley, didn't he leave under a cloud?

Can you remind me why Leeds let him go?

Errrr'm Rob Burrow age 23 - Danny Mcguire age 24 both were the best halfbacks in superleague, He was offered a extra 1 year deal to sit in the reserves with limited 1st team chances because of the above pair on top of there game... Gareth chose to try his luck lower down the league's and work his way back up...

Burrow is 29 now -- are you saying all this happened 6 years ago, when Moore was only 16??
