Have to be honest here I wouldn't dismiss that at all, it would certainly explain certain signings.
I'd put those two pretty equal. I'm not a massive Mildred fan (more his personality if I'm honest) but he has very recent experience of the NRL whilst his SL record is clear for all to see. As for Gentle I'm not sure where this sudden legendary status he now has comes from, I'm guessing his agent. I'm not saying he's a bad appointment but I don't see why he is the new flavour of the month - he has done very little relatively speaking.
I'd take either, in fact so long as it isn't Agar I'm happy and so should you be.

millward is a spent force, and our cheerleaders are too old for his tastes. |
