| Agar already said he is not leaving Hull on Sky Sports
Gentle seems to be on offer to everybody.....I appreciate he may be good but we still have a budget, lets be realistic.
I'd be ok with Cummins if he shows he is good enough. He comes with no baggage and has been talked about as good at developing the youth system.
To be honest, I don't mind who from the list, as long as we get the best we can.
Huddersfield went through quite a rigorous approach when interviewing for their candidates. It took them a long time and a few got impatient about it, but they got the right man. If we do the same I'll settle for the answer that comes out.
If we just pick on recent form and what other supposed experts say then we have sold ourselves short.

| The last time I saw Bobby Goulding, he was drunk in a French bar, singing racist songs, at a time when he was a national coach. No thank you.

Why should Wakefield refute this ? we have never come out and said we have signed Agar, unlike the Guardian, what's that old saying no news is good news, my concern is we seem to be signing a fair few players, but i would prefer the head coach to be the one doing the signing not JE and AG, after all the new coach will be expected to produce results with the team someone else has chosen for him ? Strange ? unless the new coach is been consulted b4 we sign plaers ? who knows.......

| If we could get Gentle then great, but i think with the clubs that are looking at the mo, we may just be priced out of it.
Not as head coach but wouldnt be surprised to see Warren Jowitt involved somewhere.

To distance themselves from an untrue report, kind of like Hull and Agar have.

| Lets face it we are only talking about one of the top 14 jobs in this industry in the northern hemisphere!!!
we shouldn't be waiting to 'see who applies' we should target the man we want and make them an offer...
I would be targetting Brian Smith, Peter Moore, John Lang or as a bolter; Steve Georgialis*
(*I know he just accepted a role at Wests... but a head coach position is surely more attractive than that of assistant?)

That's exactly the point I've been making all week; we should be adopting a bit of swagger, showing some confidence and approaching the man we want with a decent offer; if he's getting touched up by others, find out the deal and go one better.
This appointment is probably the most important decision of the Glover era; it's got to be the right man, even if it eats into the playing budget.
Consider this - would you rather have an army of lions led by a sheep, or an army of sheep led by a lion?

Hmmm....I would take the Guardian's sport section with a huge pinch of salt. They reported as fact that Wakefield had lost their SuperLeague license the day before the announcement. Have a chortle at this...

Unless these sheep have been trained as an armoured division, my money is on the lions.

Have to say the lion army get my vote too, unless the lion in charge of the sheep builds a dry stone wall accross the battlefield and instructs the sheet army to jump it one after each other thus leaving the lion army too sleepy to fight.
