Considering the tragic circumstances that caused the previous years original fixture which would have been Celtic Crusaders first ever televised home game to be cancalled and how upset the Crusaders players, staff and fans were about Leon Walker, having a sly dig is in very poor taste.'"
3 points of order.
1. It didn't seem like a sly dig to me.
2. It wasn't an actual Wakefield fan who made the 'alledged dig'
3. Its not in very good taste of you to bring Leon up to try and win an arguament, in fact its rather shocking!

Our team failed to turn up on time because someone suffering fro severe depression was threatening to throw himself off a motorway bridge!
The police shut the motorway trapping the team bus and hundreds of supporters on the motorway.

Oh dear, it wasn't a sly dig, it was a tongue-in-cheek joke to Slugger and nothing more. You had already been told by Feline the reason that the team and fans were late and I too was stuck in the same jam for hours and only managed to get to Warrington for KO because we had managed to get off the M62 and had left early to watch the England game (the only consultation) because some poor sod threatened to throw himself off a bridge! I am sorry if it ruined your plans for the evening, I am devastated for you... no, really I am!

I seem to remember, Brian Noble & the officials were held up in the traffic as well.

Think your comments were in very poor taste. How can we be responsible for arriving late due to some depressed person thinking about jumping off a bridge. People do have other commitments and some of them were people who had young children with them and didn't want to stay for such a late kick off.

I would never use sensitive material to try and win an argument. When Wakey travel to Wales, I'm always reminded of that terrible day.

You say that but you did use sensitive material.

The guy who made the "dig" is a Leeds fan but we tolerate him on here I know that he meant it in jest and its maybe been taken the wrong way. Then Leons name gets mentioned and one or two get a bit miffed.
From the posts you've made on here before i doubt you intended any harm, and i guess its just people barking up the wrong tree, so for me its all blown up over nothing.
Thats how i see it but others may disagree.

If by that you mean two-thirds of an hour, hats off to you. If you mean, as I think, 2 to 3 hours, you've been pretty unlucky.
Hoping to be there personally.

| Which is the best pre-match boozer? I went to the one next to the ground, on the road, before a game last year, but it was a bit dead (maybe because there was no Sky TV).
