| Quote: Shutterman "But the truth is Jims right, Moore only has a half decent kicking game to offer and thats only on narrow and/or sloping pitches, he will go missing the first time a big prop hunts him down and bangs him to the ground, and he seriously cant tackle for toffee.
Hes a decent player in the championship and has a bit of zip but he never ever going to make it in Super League. I can only assume your coaching staff are accepting youre going down and are signing him for next year in the Championship, you already have far better young players at Wakey.'"
err no, he's right in your opinion which doesn't make it so. If we listened to the opinions of other fans we would never have signed Brough, Wilkes or Moore just to name a few. JK has his doubters of which I am not wrong but when it comes to players with an attitude problem he is the master and most would accept that.
Allied to this, full time training and a different environment can be the making of some players. I've no idea whether Moore is the answer but in all honesty we have very little to lose.

He was so outstanding at Hull that when they were looking for a scrum half and had the pick of our squad, they took Sam Obst

I think cool4cats was referring to the game against Hull and Lee did play well.

The Hull game was after they signed Sam. He played against us. And by the way Lee was outstanding at Hull.

| Quote: Theboyem "Moores big strength is his kicking game, something we do fall short on. His playing style is similar to Danny Brough although miles apart at present in ability. His defence at superleague level would be a worry though and he's going to take a good few weeks of fulltime training to get up to speed before he hits the first team I would of thought .'"
This is a very realistic and true post. The lad has huge potential that appears to be building year on year and i think its safe to say getting him into a full time enviroment will help bring him up to SL level. He has the talent and is in the Danny Brough mould and im sure he will be eased into the first team over the coming weeks and not just thrown in. Some comments on here are so wide of the mark its laughable. He was in the Leeds system for a number of years and has the pedigree to make the step up but it wont be overnight.

| I'd be ok signing Moore but I don't agree about those bagging Lee.
He's been good all the time and outstanding in some games. He is playing out of position and had at least 3 half back partners but still looks our best chance of doing anything.
He is one of the reasons our defence is better as he is strong in that area when many half backs are the weak link.
Happy to strengthen and put him back to hooker but it better be someone good rather than someone to develop. We have those already in reserves and they will be good enough in a season.

Absolutely - I don't think Lee gets enough credit for this; he puts massive hits on in defence and has left some of SL's known bruisers on their backsides, including Benny Westwood.
He's doing a great job for us - I'd like to see him doing an even better one in his natural postion.

Its a JK gamble, most pay off, some don't.
I dont understand why other clubs fans are so upset by the signing??

| It looks like a couple of people who have a personal beef with this lad are airing their dirty laundry in public.
Personally, I don't give a stuff who he's upset at Dewsbury, or anywhere else. Firstly, even if he is a bit too big for his boots, I can't see a young upstart from the Championship giving it much attitude in the dressing room in his first SL job. Secondly, if he does have a bit of dog in him and his performances justify it, then I'll get into the habit of making excuses for him, just like the Pies do with Tomkins.

| Karl Harrison has just stated on Radio Leeds that no-one at the Batley club has heard a peep from Wakefield regarding Gareth Moore, who was actually present at todays game with Widnes. I wonder if this could be a case of deja vu, with a similarlly nailed on 'move' to SL with Hull at the start of this season also coming to nothing?!

Seems strange that you aren't looking to off load him to a team from the lower divisions seen as he has no chance of making it in SL.
