| Although I think Castlefords scheme is built on sand and RW is full of cr*p you can't really blame them as it's no more than we were promising 3 years ago.
The timing of all this after 3 years of absolutely nothing as regards Glasshoughton is astonishingly convenient but hell there you go.
Cas will get away with it this time but as they say you can fool some of the people etc etc - they will be found out.
In the meantime we have to swallow hard and forget about them and get on with NM.
Have to say though, imagine the satisfaction if Cas are found wanting and the club that replaces them in three years is none other than us - oh the joy.

| Quote: Inflatable_Armadillo "As expected, the GH reserved matters application was approved this morning by the planning committee.
So they need to get Outline planning now on WR for a superstore development. Once that is sorted (which may be easy or may not!) then Opus will release funding to start the GH build (or a build somewhere!). So getting outline on WR could be sorted this year and therefore building start on GH early in 2012. I don't see it happening any quicker than this, but it could do... but it could take longer as well!'"
I suspect that it's more likely they'll need full PP before committing the funding, in which case the race for who gets the new stadium completed first could be quite close.......whether both clubs are competing in the same league is still another matter.

It appears that the superstore development may not be all it is cracked up to be.

It is "Fifita" not "Fafita"
If you don't know the difference between "there", "their" and "they're" I might get annoyed.

| I genuinely wish Cas well with their development. They are a heartland club with a true supporter base and a lot to offer the game of rugby league. In the same way I wish the same for Wakefield. I also hope that both can compete against each other in the top flight.
When Wakey v Cas matches can attract 8,000+ and Crusaders/Quins/Catalans v Wakey/Cas struggle to get over c. 4k+ then I know which is the better option for the future of the game. This is in terms of finance, emotion, growth and genuine neutrals interest in the game.
I wish no ill will to Cas unlike some on these boards. Good luck to them.

My thoughts too mate.
Despite us being favourites for the chop I can honestly say i've never felt more positive about our club and can't remember enjoying the rugby this much for a long time!

You are absolutely right in your second paragraph. I hope Wakefield get the ground they want too as that would be fantastic for the fans. I know I'd rater be watching Cas play Wakey than Crusaders and Harlequins.
