Exactly,
As much as I disagree with the way franchising is handled and the various different rules dependent upon which clubs future is at stake I don't wish I'll on any other clubs and their fans.

TBF we received a lot of sympathy from other supporters, many of whom were not supportive of clubs such as crusaders amongst others being kept in SL at the expense of a club such as ours.
That aside you cannot possibly think that that looked anything short of apalling in front of the SKY cameras, and to add insult to injury they even made an issue out the empty seats in a mostly full naughton park last night, an absolute joke.

one persons remark and you tar all Wakefield with the same brush.
while I open my arms to the games improvement in popularity I too find it distasteful in the manner that it is being done,
if you expect us to just lay down and accept it think again, we are a club that dates back to the start of the game and will not relinquish our position without a fight.

I was sympathetic, but that doesn't justify the original post. Real fans of RL don't want to see any clubs in trouble. That includes all clubs, both traditional and non-traditional.
As for what it looked like on TV, I don't give a fu$k. It's equally embarrassing watching your club playing in a stadium that wouldn't look out of place in 1960s Liberia, in front of a crowd that in real terms isn't much bigger than the one Crusaders had tonight. I don't start a new thread complaining about it every time though. People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, and it's certainly out of order to wish financial problems on other clubs especially when you have been experiencing them first hand. To be quite honest, it's a pathetic and disgraceful attitude and you should take a good look at yourself.

As for the OP he won't find an awful lot of support for his views on here so far as wishing you falter financially in a couple of months.
As for our ground it's a tip, we suffer more than SL because of it, however the simple fact that we shouldn't be in SL because of it shows to me that you are 1) unaware of the fact that we have been trying for quite a few years to remedy the problem and 2) up there with the clowns at the RFL thinking that it should be the be all and end all.
For me the crusaders experiment is a farce, it benefits nobody and makes the RFL look stupid.
Anyone watching this evening will have been wondering where's the fans, and how can a pro sports club run on so little income and justify itself.
The answers to those questions are there for all to see.

But your statement that Crusaders are embarrassing is hypocritical in the extreme, and the rest of your post is short-sighted beyond belief. If the RFL's views were consistent with yours then the game would die. Thankfully they have more sense than to listen to people like you. Get a grip. You have no more right to be in Super League than any other club, and you certainly have no right to call any other club when your own is in such a state.

| I often wonder of the long term future of SL and the RFL. They continue to plunder cash on 'expansion' which i understand to an extent but how long do you give teams before you allow them to stand on their own two feet? How much help should they be given?
What happens if say Crusaders went into administration for a third time in three years? What would happen if SkySports lost interest in RL and wouldn't pay what they do? What will happen if the HMRC decision goes against clubs?
Generally RL clubs don't make a profit. Infact, often their backers absorb the debt. But how long can that continue? This has become all the more relevant considering our plight and whilst it seems to some we've got on our high horse because we're now safe. You must always question the viability of the likes of Quins and Crusaders as a business

You've come on here trying to be the moral majority, fair enough, but yet you start to talk crap about Trinity, way to go, talk about hypocritical.

| To be fair to Crusaders, although it was a poor crowd, it wouldn't have looked as bad if the cameras had been on the other side of the ground, as the "popular" stand is under the cameras.
The owners must be a bit worried though. I know it was on TV, but it was the opening home fixture, and on paper quite an attractive on. You would have expected more for that, and I assume the club had spent some time marketing the opening one.
The expansion teams look like they are in a for a poor show this year.
Mind you, Hull and Leeds haven't posted opening game gates like I would have expected, nor Cas. Leeds got 12K+, which is good, but I thought their baseline attendance was higher than that, and for a non-televised opening home game. I wonder if it is going to be a poor year all round for crowds.
