What exactly is this 'news' - if you have any news, pray tell us.
On the rugby side there was a media day earlier in the week; JK will probably name his squad for Bradford tomorrow; the club announced that it had 4 'suitors'; the Dolls have new sponsors.
In short if nothing has happened (other than confidential matters) then what news is there to tell?'"
TBH I think that PHe has summed it up quite well.
I've not spoken to anyone at the club for a couple of weeks & I don't think that anyone I'd trust to give an honest answer is going to have much time to speak to a minor shareholder at the moment.
Realistically, I don't think we are likely to hear anything of substance about the company/business issues until after any deals have been done. From various news articles I've seen (so someone must be keeping the lines of communication open from the club) James Elston has been working his socks off keeping the RFL up to date on developments & that there's positive movements in relation to new owners.
BUT, IMO we have to expect that new owners will only want to buy us out of Administration rather than through a straight sale of the existing business. If my understanding of the comparison to Crusaders is correct, we owe less money to HMRC & the new buyers aren't going to be part of the exisiting management. If this is correct, it would follow that the RFL shouldn't enforce a greater points deduction on us than Crusaders got......................................but then again we know that the RFL apply different criteria to us so a 6 point penalty is what I'm expecting.
For the time being I think we just have to accept that no news is good news.
