Is any of this written down anywhere? Say I was interested in putting a grand in. Where's the details, the facts, the small print etc?
If someone says "contact the club they are very helpful" that's not helpful. A Phonecall doesnt stand up and they should publish this info if they want participation.
Whilst writing this I checked the website in case I missed the obvious. It's not on the front page of their website so can't be that important. It was on the front page of the Wakey express!
This offer is doomed to fail.'"
After reading your post, I went to the website, and I couldn't see anything at all about it. Maybe you would have to go hunting for it by keep pressing the "older news" button, but if anyone had merely heard about it and went looking for it, they would assume it was just a groundless rumour. I've had no correspondence about it. Not looking promising.

| Quote: The Clan "Too many information gaps from the club and too much muddying of the waters by others. The half truths, innuendo and in some cases deliberate sabotage of the share offer has all but killed any chance of us reaching £500K, if there ever was a chance.
IMO, the best we can hope for is to raise a significant amount of money that can be used as a fighting fund if and when we know what were dealing with.'"
I disagree with that and find some of it rather insulting. The share offer is doomed to failure on the lack of information alone. With full and proper information given the opportunity for half truths, innuendo and so on is greatly reduced. The problem for the mug punter is who do you believe? What is the truth? What about those who do not have access to this great forum and it's mine of information where are they getting their information from?

I think we all appreciate that the money is safe and seperate in the escrow? account.
But that doesnt clarify what exactly we are buying and the exact mechanics of it all. Perhaps Tuesday's meeting will clarify a lot of facts for a lot of people.
I still maintain 500 people coughing up £1000 is a unrealistic achievement, unless there are a few out there with considerably more to contribute, again Tuesday may bring some answers.
This whole situation is embarrassing, the main and indeed only straw I'm clinging to is that it will bring an end to the Richardson chapter, but what state the club will be in is anyones guess?'"
You may get some answers at Tuesdays meeting but the point of that meeting is to establish whether the fans of Wakefield Trinity wish to create a Supporters Trust. This is something we have been looking at since before all the latest news came to light.
The aims of the Trust will be explained more fully on Tuesday but I will say
it was never our intention that the Trust would be established in order to take over the running of the club. That may change given the circumstances that we now find ourselves in but the primary purpose of Tuesdays meeting is to decide whether to form a Supporters Trust and to discuss what that actually means in real terms.

the question of course, will be if the ST will have the answers the supporters will want answering?
by that i mean, the financial situation at the club and what will happen to any money, should we be in a position to proceed in any way in taking a steak in the club.
as has been said elsewhere, the waters are very very murky, and without answers, people such as i, with the best intentions for the club, will be reluctant to hand over money, they could "better" utilise elsewhere.

| If the worst happens and we need fighting funds to carry on I would be willing to put my hand in my pocket.
HOWEVER not if it means continuing to pay the wages of those who have put us in this position, ie "Teds" men, woman.
It seems they have had a good living out of the pot that is, was Wakefield Trinity !!!

| I don't like to admit it, bur Mopsey is absolutely spot on. I talked to many wakey supporters over the weekend and everyone had the same view.
I don't trust the board and some of the people alligned to the club.
I think the £1M valuation on the club is a joke.
I would be willing to sccrimp and scrape a grand together if i thought it would genuinly be well used and help.
Seems to me Administration will be a blessing as it will draw a line on the current regime and lets hope we get a fresh start post that day at the management level - goodbye ted / diane and your pals your time is up.

| I personally would be willing to put money into the club but 1k is just too much but i would put as much as i can in. However, i wont be putting money in until we get guarantees that Ted and all his family members have left the club. I have been a supporter of Ted in the past because i always think he has tried to do his best however i see us as being in a catch 22 situation where the BOD are saying that they will go if we get the 500k however many people are saying that they will only put the money in once the board has gone. I therefore think it is up to ted and the BOD to make the first move on resign.

| A lack of communication was one of the problems that got us into this predicament in the first place and then to hit people with we need this money by January 31st. Sorry but the best rallying call is not Quote: "The question is are there 500 people out there who have the club at heart - what does this club mean to you?'"
I know that there are many people who can't afford £1000 required, but if honesty had prevailed from the outset then there would surely be more people coming forward to help. When it is looked at in simple terms, two possible investors have walked away and they have been right through the process of due diligence and spoken to the RFL.
We as supporters are expected to stump up a short fall with no idea of what the longer term outcome will hold. Sorry but this is down to nothing else other than poor management.
You wouldn't buy a car your neighbour liked and then ask them to pay for it to be repaired when it broke down, with a half hearted promise of you will have a 50% stake but get no information about any other problems there may be. I know this is the same thing but the same principal applies.
What exactly does this £500k cover? Other than £350k publicised shortfall.
What debts will the 50% share inherit?
In business terms 50% of any business is 50% of it's problems.
I don't know the full extent of the club debt, but it does appear that the club are trying to mend a broken leg with a plaster and they relying on a serious amount of gullible pay now ask later people.

There's certainly no intention to insult anyone and I'm not really sure which bit anyone could find offensive!
It's a fair summary of where we stand and recognises first and foremost that there's too little detail from the club.

If we go into administration will they have the luxury of that choice?

| I am starting to believe that the current board do not expect 500 people (or groups) to come forward and that will give them every excuse to go into administartion stating that
[i"if the fans cannot be bothered then why should we continue"[/i hereafter called Teds get out clause.

| If and when we do go into administration, what is the process that follows?
How is a business defined as being wound up, or being put into administration? I understand what the ultimate end result is, but how does a body such as HMRC decide which the business is put into?
Is there a very real chance that Ted and co. could again assume control of the club after we are placed into administration or do they retain control of it even through/after this process?
