Quote: braytontiger "although the comments arnt abusive it is very ameature from a pro clubs ceo and tbh it smacks of desperation,if this is how he behaves in business then there is no wonder he`s in a cva.

i think it will be cas who laughs last on this one, infact im certain we will be a super league club for 2012 and beyond and playing in a new stadium.'"

I have absolutely no time for Ted Richardson, we are in the mess we are in principally due to bad decisions made by him and his hangers on. If this club goes to the wall, he will be one of the main reasons. I was disappointed but not suprised to hear of his comments in the press. All it does is make us look desperate and reinforces the view that we know we are struggling. As I said on another thread whatever any one thinks about Dicky Wright, it will be some achievement if they manage to get the stadium built with very little public money going in.

If he wanted to criticise anybody were up against for a licence then it should have been the Welsh team, cos at least his comments may have had a small degree of relevance in terms of us needing to be treated fairly. I know it wouldn't make any difference in the outcome, but at least nobody could have argued about it.

Quote: Chairman Miaow "Ted

I just don't understand this statement. We have outline planning permission, soon to be full planning permission, a site that's been agreed on with ground work in the process... so how are Wakefield closer? I'm not trying to cause an argument here, but I've heard a lot of people saying this but I just cannot see the reasoning behind it.

Nothing, but the NM development has the money and a site, what it doesn't have is the time.

Still with Cas putting in for FPP this week they've don't need to get their knickers in a twist over this.

Because there is no reasoning behind any of his comment's.

If Cas submit plans this week (believe it when you see it) as is rumoured, then we will be at least 12 months infront and we will be "much closer".

Come to think of it - even if we do not submit plans, Cas at this moment, are still "much closer" as we have OPP and Ted/WTW does not (although in his mind he think's he has when you read his comments)

Not necessarily. If this public review doesn't go to plan, couldn't the site be revoked? Do you have outline PP?

Quote: Contemporary self-made millionaires are seldom successful through luck. Their effective organisations are grown through careful consideration of key core competencies such as marketing, sales, branding, product development, distribution and quality client service.

Through achieving this naturally comes experience, knowledge and wisdom.

PROBIZ can bring all these transparent and intangible qualities into the Super League'"
:kz4h1x1f]

I wonder if modesty is one of the 'transparent and intangible' qualities of which your new Emperor speaks? icon_wink.gif

As for Ted's comments; they're somewhat petty and bitter sounding, but I wouldn't hold that against him; certainly no worse than some of the vitriolic bile that gloating fans have posted on each others boards as this sordid business has unfolded. Granted the CEO should be a bit more professional, but considering what's happened in the last week or so, I'm prepared to cut him some slack.

Ask yourselves this, if Castleford have nothing as Ted says and you have a good plan B,and imminent plan A why is he attacking Cas. There will be an independent company reviewing stadia, and Ted will be able to outline Wakefields plans to the RFL in the franchise application, so if all he is saying is true, why look bitter and desperate pleading in the media.

Also on the subject of plan B, If he has such a good plan B just tell everybody. I think the Shareholders meeting will be to tell folk they are up the creek without a paddle.

At the end of the day he could have used the media to quell the fears of his own supporters, play up plan B and even long term plan A, he could of even announced a couple of signings, instead he is pleading his case against a club he says has nothing, tells me he thinks he has less than nothing.

I suppose it depends whether it was an off the cuff remark rather than an actual seeking out of the media to make the plea for fairness. I haven't seen the article so I can't speculate as to which it is.

The point remains though why even go there if you have confidence that you can present a better case in the Franchise bid and that you have the evidence to back it up. Why not make off the cuff remarks about your plan B or Some signings, something to give your fans real hope. IMO he as just blinked first in a staring contest.

I for one am disappointed with this article, it smacks of bitterness and jealousy. Ted should concentrate on getting us out the mess we have got OUR selves into.
