| thay have also posted massive scores against in his time in charge but hey we wont talk about that. Quote: bellycouldtackle "Wiilie was in charge of the Leeds under 20`s, we put 56 past them, Warrington racked up 90 odd. Considering the players, money etc available at Leeds does not make me think he would be a wise choice.'"

| Quote: Mary Millington "As for Willie....I will say this much about him. Quite simply one of the BEST players ever to wear a Wakey shirt in Super League - that is FACT!'"
Completely agree but if you look at any sport and not just rugby league, the best players don't always make the best coaches with Dennis Betts being a good example.

Even the great man himself, Wally Lewis didn't pull up any trees In his stint at Gold Coast the first time around when they were in the NSWRL (as it was then).

Agreed, and this applies not only in sport, but in any job; being good at something doesn't necessarily make you good at managing or motivating other people to do that thing.

| I hope he doesn't move to Quins................purely that he'd probably only move now if we werne't getting a franchise & I certainly don't want to see his boring brand of rugby at Quins given they're only a few miles down the road from me!!!

its not like he could sign his own players could he so he would of had to play with what he had in front of him,
as its been mentioned on here, the best players don't make the best coach its all down to inspirational talk,

| John Kear came to us at exactly the right time for the club. He worked miracles. Is he still the right man for the job? Well, consider the job he's faced with:
Players- Im sure they mean well, but last season was just farcical, we lost too many key players immediately the season was under way. How was JK supposed to re-work his strategies after losing Newton, Brough and Tronc?. Even I can sympathise from t'other side of the world.
Finances- as shambolic as they've always been since god knows when- the late '70s perhaps?
I dont reckon John Kear has a great hand to play with, he never will have at Wakefield, unless funds are made available.
Without funds and a franchise, we might as well plan to stand and watch Wakey Vs Swinton in front of 450 diehards.
As far as Im aware, there isn't an option to lose the franchise and stay at Belle Vue is there?
Wh'd step into John Kear's shoes? Not me!!

I agree fully. lets hope alot of lessons have been made from this season and we get some news on the 22nd of october. Then we can plan ahead and make a future for the club as a whole to look forward to.
