I respect your backing of the club, the way you fight it's corner and way you are working with the powers that be to deliver a stadium.
I understand that people not buying a season ticket is damaging to the club. The thing is that when buying a season ticket it is not just a money saver for the supporter and money maker for the club, but it is also a trust thing. You are paying in advance and putting faith in next years product hopefully being even better than the last and honestly at the moment it clearly isn't going to be.

| I have been a supporter for sixty two years and have seen many hi's and low's in that time but the last season is the worst i have seen for not showing the fighting spirit that Trinity have always been renowned for and there fore until I know who the new signings are for next season I will not be purchasing my ST.The club are giving their supporters very little encouragment through lack of any information regarding strengthening the team, even the rumours of who we are signing give us no confidence that we are moving forward in team development.

as a Barnsley FC fan and a Trin fan i have acquired the ideas of "follow Blindly" is the best solution.
if i had my way both teams would have loads to spend and be untouchable but it just isnt going to happen. what i dont get is why people are only kicking a fuss up now. its been the same for years.
Truth is whatever happens with regards to who leaves and who comes in, is that WTW have a squad. and watching people put the effort in week in week out. surely everyone on here knows some one who plays for a sports team everyweek who get constantly hammered by the opposition? when you ask them why they do it the answer is always the same "becuse i do it for the love of it" thats why i support WTW because i go to the games for the love of it. which is why my group will be renewing our season tickets

| Maybe we have not announced any signings because the players that were due to come are now back tracking given the latest news re the taxman, you could hardly blame them.
FWIW, I look at what TRB said like this :
(1) If we are to believe the statement from Diane Maskill then we do not have to worry about the future of the club re the dispute with the taxman and therefore people delaying purchasing a season ticket until they know whats happening on this front and player wise should not be that critical.
(2) I have already paid for mine for next season, but had I known about the tax man issue before I had done, I would have held on, because I like many others cannot afford to lose GBP 185 quid if the club goes under. This is bound to put some fans off as is the lack of any new signing announcements.
(3) If the purchasing of season tickets is crucial to the clubs survival and early purchase at that, then the club should say so rather than making inane "don't worry" statements as they have currently done. This would then make the decision for most fans alot easier (do we want the club to go under or not)
(4) If the club acknowledge that the two most important sets of people they rely on are the supporters and the players, then they would listen better to both sets of people and treat them better. Based on recent postings on here, I would suggest an immediate way to lift some of the gloom would be to replace the current coaching staff, who seem to be arrogantly thinking that their boring one out tactics are ok and it is the players to blame.
It seems to me that if one of the supposed interested parties doesn't come up with something soon, we will be history.

I wish we had signed players with no quality like Mathers and Luke Patten, and if rumours are true we are talking about the Likes of Fozzard, Higgins and Penny...LOL LOL. TBH we will not attract quality any players with the The board wanting out, the Tax man knocking on the door, no decision on Newmarket and players in contract leaving, we have nothing that is attractive to a player at the mo, what JK said is when players ask where is the club giong to be in 12/24 month's he can't give them an honest awnser because he dosen't know himself, all were going to attract is players who have little chance of making it in another SL team, or players who have maybe 1 season left at the top level who are going to cost a fortune and swallow up the salary cap, but hey-ho what's new, the Club has been poorly run for years and years so it was ineveatable at some point we were going to come unstuck, it is a family concern at the mo and not a business and certianly not attractive to investers or players......

I appluad your loyalty TRB, but i can understand people's decision not to renew, i personally haven't renewed yet, i like many am firstly awaiting a couple of things 1.To see how the club come out of the HRMC meeting on the 22nd. 2. Newmarket 3.Recruitment
Granted decisions like recruitment and season ticket sales go hand in hand, but there is too much uncertianty around the club at the mo, and with not one new announcment and with pre-season training starting in little over 3 weeks time (Mon 11th), it's liitle suprise that fans are not rushing to Belle vue, what would happen if the club went under (god forbid) a season ticket would not be any good if there was no club would it ?. Like i said TRB i admire your loyalty but i cannot afford to lose £400 at the mo with so much uncertianty around Belle vue...

| I don't think there is any risk that there will not be a team next season. The main uncertainty we have is a franchise for 2012 which is not helping recruitment nor finding new owners I guess.
October 22nd is the key to all this and following the receipt of OPP I think we will have more certainty and can look forward. We'll just have to put up with the crap until then.

Yep, just about sums it up for me, however, by then the bones will have been picked over.
I’ve no idea how Salford & Cas have sold it to their new recruits, maybe their better blaggers than us, or maybe are more confident than us .

| I'll be waiting until the end of October before deciding whether to purchase a season ticket because all will be clearer by then. The things that are going around on the grapevine right now don't make very good listening at all so wait and see is my policy i'm afraid.

I appreciate that times are hard (I changed job and lost about 25% of my salary this year - not by choice I might add), but the club can get out of the current hole, or could certainly be helped along the way, if people bought their ST's.
Me too although I took a 50% cut 2 year ago.
All I would say is that failure to buy ST's, could cause the club more of the very trouble we are concerned about right now. If you don't want to help the club,
fair enough, but please think twice about criticising something that you are not prepared to assist with, unless it suits.
Where have I criticized, all I'm saying is I want to see the goods before I buy.
Oh, and the username may require an update!
Oh, it's current and up to date.
I know there is a lot that could be better, but we are where we are and we'll be better pulling in the same direction.
Very true, but its a two way thing you know.
Together we are Stronger!'"

Indeed it's laughable in one breath Blanch and Gleeson have been shocking all season get rid, next breath I can't believe we are letting Blanch and Gleeson go something must be wrong!

| This is my first post and by my own admission I am your typical floating fan. Cricket / holiday commitments will mean i never get a season ticket. Think we will always attract the 2-3000 'rose tinted mob' to buy a season ticket.
My last game was in catalan, a typicial 'defeat from the jaws of victory display' that summed up this whole shambles of a team/squad/backroom/staff/and owners. We were busy throwing away a lead to a team that hadn't won in about 8 and went on to finish bottom...... while our head coach was being interviewed by the opposition.
Before you start berating the die hards - Think about the likes of me and the other 5k like me... what will the close season bring ? Renewed optimism, niche signings, new ground OR staving off tax bills at the 11th hour, bottom of the barrel 'project signings' and inertia that is WTW.
Without a new owner / head coach and about 4 class players then cant see me gracing belle vue much above twice next year. (in recent seasons has been nearer 8 or 10).
Our group of 8 or so will still go to Spain next year.. but cant see more than two hauling their ass over the french border... more sangria anyone !

| We are all just going to have to wait and see regarding players coming in. Even if we don't get the amount of players in that we are after may not be the worst thing in the world because it means we can blood some of the youngsters who look prmising such as Wildie, Cowling, Davey and Annakin? (Is he still ate the club? Looked promising a coupple of years ago).
