Think the board has had its time with little investment in the club ... They have held the club back imo but hopefully the damage is not perminent and we can get some money into the club in a new stadium ... Quins are going nowhere and neither are Castleford or Salford. This leaves Wakey unfortunately and Widnes are coming up thats already a foregone conclusion.

But the council aren't building two grounds. Yorkcourt/Community Trust are building ours and Cas allegedly are building/funding their own.

By the way, not for one minute doubting your info. In fact I'd laugh my wotsits off if it happens, given all the bluster we've had from Cas supporters.

You can't know this for definite - because it's not true - at least not for the immediate future. Both clubs have chose to go independently and ours will consist of a design to cater for one anchor tennant - i.e. there is no provision for Cas in the design.

Now what I will give you, is that, if Cas stall on their own development, then NM (as a Community Trust owned facility) would almost certainly be made available to them. Now before any Cas fans come out of the woodwork suggesting that I am anti-GH, that's not what I'm saying will happen by any means.

The decision to build 1 or 2 grounds is not Wakefields. They tried to establish that 2 months ago and failed. Each club believes in it's own ability to deliver a stadium - and as far as I am concerned, we most definitely have the right people and the right processes in place to deliver - and that is the be all and end all to me.

Sounds to me like you are in the if your board are willing to step aside for new investors when the progress of the stadium is looking so good

Unfortunately, I think you might be right - why would the Chairman of the club offer to sell up if there was a new stadium and new licence happening in the near future?

Thought that those close to the club on here believe this would not work as he has no long term interest?
My own view was what we need is an influx of investment so we go into the new stadium with a decent side and we then should hopefully build our income stream from bigger crowds etc.. meaning we gradually ease back into being self sufficient again.
