| Who gives a toss if they have broken the salary cap, they have signed some decent players for next season and the new ground has started to develop, the loyal fans of Salford deserve a bit of luck with what they have had to put up with over the last few years, good luck to em I say. I just wish we could swap places with them atm.

That's not what live means.
The budget is set at the beginning of the year based on previous years income and projections.
Then they pay what they want up to that agreed limit. If they are at the limit and want to get someone else, they have to justify to the RFL that they are going to reduce something before the new registration is added.

| Yeah of course we're miles over the cap. I didn't realise that the likes of Anderson, Nero, Wild, Palea'aesina, Bailey are on miles more money than the likes of Peacock, Eastwood, Buderus, Delaney, Burrow, Mcguire, Webb etc. Get real!!
We are still no where near the maximum, this season we have been operating on the lowest Budget in super league as low as 40% of the cap and with Talau, Alker, Swain and Leulaui all leaving this will free up even more space add on to this Littler, Sibbit, Fitzpatrick also going, there's loads of room to play with. Patten and Holdsworth are no doubt our biggest earners followed closely by Vinnie Anderson, but still on no more than warrington, Wigan, Leeds or saint's big guns.
I really don't get how people have come to conclusion that we're be breaking the salary cap

| the 'cheat' slingers are just after a bite - ignore them, it aint deserved. We know very little of what goes on at our club so know even less of other clubs. I was simply curious at the number of high profile signings that you guys were making. I was not aware of the departures its far clearer now how the pieces of the jigsaw fiit together.
good luck (except for Sunday)

| It has to be said that Salford are looking like a completely different team for next season; they appear to be doing exactly what we all want WTW to be doing; making confident, quality signings for 2011, in the lead-up to franchise applications.
Having said that, after browsing their forum there seems to be some strong opinions about inept non-playing functions, such as marketing and PR for example, which look as amateurish and half-d as our own.
It'll be interesting to watch how they go next season.

| I like Salford personally, similar team to us. People slag the willows but I think its a cracking little ground. i echo the good luck to em, cant help feel they might be better off if it wasn't Macrae in charge of the new signings like.

Ich bin ein wurst. I love that little hut where you walk straight up and buy cans of beer, whilst still being able to keep one eye on the action
