For a long time I backed JK, and could see the reasons of the slump when we lost Brough etc but it has gone on far too long and doesn't look like changing.The last few years he has done great things for the club and we have played some great rugby but for what ever reason he cannot get this team to play.We have some good rugby players at the club but for what ever reason he isn't getting the most out of them and the teams he's putting out there each weak aren't doing the business.I just can't see the BOD sticking with him after this string of defeats,the team needs a fresh approach and a new fitness coach.

The thing I found most interesting is that all Batleys' players were from no further than 7 miles from the club.

the proofs in the pudding take a look at it. my record stands up with the best who ive brought through so when its somewhere near me talk tome again. whos at warrington,bradford,hullkr, trin,cas or i forgot fev,batley, dewsbury. no bitterness is a state of mind. remember,money is nothing but you can take glory with you when its your time to go, do you know the history of our great club, thought not

I can't believe my eyes....John Kear is the ONLY reason Wakey have not been lost to the RL wilderness!! cats your minds back to 2006 and you were as good as relegated when he took over...you know the rest!

even the most hardent tinted specky wakey fan can not honnestly say they believed the club would have survived relegation and i believe you'd be mixing it with York and Keighley now had it not been for that man.

Wakey supporters (like some other teams) are very deluded. you do not have the fan base to finance a fanatasy team and JK has to wheel and deal to make a side that to be honnest over achieves year on year. hence why it's a good job RL is not played on paper for Wakey!!

I do admit that your team does appear to fade out towards the end of each seaosn and i believe this is because JK knows to get the points racked up to keep wakey's season alive you need to hit the ground sprinting at the begining of the season and take the two points against sides that prepare for the back end of the season!!

lose JK and i believe wakey will prop the league up until they find their new home in NL1!!

Quite right Hourigan and a recent Poll suggested that most of the wakey fans can see this as cleary as you can - unfortunately we have some fans like Mopsey who persist with similar threads everytime we lose. Kear is our only creditibility with the RFL, without him our figurehead is Ted Rcihardson - say no more.

Don't forget the year we stayed up it wasn't entirely in our hands!

Out of interest, how many years of stagnation (at best) under-acheiving (at worst) would it take before we have repaid the debt to Kear?

Don't think anybody argues that he was instrumental in keeping us in the league, and each fan should be grateful for what he has done for the club (I know I am) - but we don't go on repaying this for ever and ever in my opinion.
