im not saying ive ever made a living out of rugby league and no way have i said that gleeson and blanch are the best players in the world i said there is more too it than letting you publicly castrate them on here , defence is about teamwork if our sliding defence doesnt work and the winger is left with a 2 on one to defend what DO YOU EXPECT HIM TO DO ???? he tries to close down the centre ball and all so he cant create the overlap if he gets the ball too his winger he has a free run home its a natural instinct nothing about bad positional play

if any winger is left 2 on one he should try and snuff out the centre so he cant release his winger or is that me ?? someone back me up here

they may aswell stay at home and watch loose women like you.And that millard pass where he could have got to the line he would rather pass it out back into the stand. Another 3rd rate aussie who just showed us how much he wants to play for us with a pass like that. Why don't we play some kids that actually want to be there.

Kear himself says we are entitled to give a opinion its no fun spending your hard earned money getting tonked every other week i wouldnt mind if we gave some effort and got the basics correct but we havent and its poor.

Ha ha he does Blanch on the other hand jumps out of the way or he is either in the middle between the winger and the centre in no mans land just waving.

Perhaps I am been a little stupid here...I dont mind if you tell me I am.

I feel that we are losing the middle of the field battles, losing the collisions and not getting the ball wrapped up to stop the offloads, these little things are snowballing and becoming a massive issue for the flanks.

Every tackle we have 2/3 players trying to stop the oppositions attacks- but because of the poor tackling and work done in the middle, they are getting the offloads out which are resulting in the wingers/centres been sucked in to try and stop the oncoming threats!- this obviously leads to the impression that gleeson and blanch are well and truly out of position- which in some cases they might be.

I am not a massive fan of either Blanch or Gleeson but this is just a possibility as to why they are struggling.

I have to disagree kingsway...i thought yesterday we were hammered out wide...and we have been most of the season, when Widders is ripping you apart out wide its a worry...
Same against Wigan all they did out wide was beat us with quick hands...

Not just today that Ben Jeffries has been non existant but this has been happening for a large part of the season.I for one was baffled why we resigned this guy again on a 2 year deal after what we already new about him being a waste of space once the team was being beat(at the Bulls also).

Gleeson has never been a good defender but showed he could attack when on form,Just seems his form in attack and defence is now shot to pieces.

Whereas Blanch is just not the same player since his bad injury,Maybe time to show a few the door and lets just rebuild yet again at the end of this season.

Have to agree with a lot of the coments regarding Blanche and Glees, but how Millard doesn't get any stick is beyind me. Stepped by Widders TWICE!! (I'd hang my boots up if he skinned me twice ) and then threw a pass with the line at his mercy when we were still within striking distance on the scoreboard.

Have to agree about the crowd also. All i heard was supporters slagging the players and the ref......if i have to listen to it at anymore games i wont go, far too negative an atmosphere for me to spend my free time.

Agree 100%. The slagging off of players was going on whilst we were actually winning where we were stood. Some harridan behind us spent the entire game shouting "Do summat then Cookie" or "get em onside ref". To compound matters the pitch of her shrieking was like the noise if fingernails scraping down a blackboard. I know everyone gets frustrated but Jeez!

It seems that this seasons whipping boys will be our backs (especially S Gleeson & D Blanch) with this none existant sliding defence that we do not have. But by the meaning of the term "sliding" does that not mean that the back rowers should be going out wider to help the backs in defence, & if they are stuck in the middle shoring up the middle of the park is that not showing a weakness in our front row ?
To have a successful sliding defence each player needs to have confidence in his colleagues ability to stop the opposition in front of them, unfortunately confidence does not seem to be in a abundance down at belle vue at the moment.
