He has expressed an interest in buying the club on more than 1 occasion hasn't he?

From what I heard at the time (and this was a year or so ago) he wouldn't touch the club while Timmin's and Ted were still on board. With them gone???

Your making these comments because Ted has some financial issues - technical issues - whilst he has taken action to protect the club.
Eric France have gone bust in the past - but the owners have escaped and re-started.
Now which one sounds like the right type of person to trust with our heritage?

One is a millionaire, the other has just gone into an IVA.
Not much of a choice.

| We will never attract new investment with Timmin's and Ted.
We need new blood. Fast.

Well I would disagree.
I honestly don't believe that Eric France (retired) or Jonathan, would have the patience to see the thing through. I would compare it to dancing with the devil.
The current situation is not good, but the work to push the club forward continues and the relationship between Ted, Rodney and Colin cannot be over-stated.

You have been a strong supporter of the Newmarket scheme. If you believe in that scheme - stay with what we have.

I am sure it would not be a technical issue, an IVA is the last stage before bankruptcy - it is not to be taken lightly.
The whole IVA system was set up to allow professionals in extreme financial difficulty to sort out their finances without losing their jobs ie solicitors, accountants etc

Well then would it be better to let Rodney take over and have a new chief exec?
I just think we need to distance ourselves so to speak from Ted, at least until we get planning permission and/or another franchise.
I can appreciate the work he has done, but at this moment he could be seen (rationally) as a massive liability.#

Colin Mackie would work with anybody who was in charge of the club IMO, as the staidum is a key pillar in them being able to realise the full development potential of the Newmarket site. Sir Rodney would plough on as well as I doubt he would want to have the failure on his CV.
Whatever the reasons for the IVA, the fact is it doesn't look good to outsiders and as you have said the RFL have yet to respond. We all know that the RFL have always been gunning to get us out of SL, this kind of thing puts one bullet in their gun.
His personal finance issues aside, the way the club is run is with a few notable areas of exception comes across as pretty amateurish and Ted is in charge and therefore responsible.
We should not be afraid of change assuming there is someone out there who is interested. This smacks of the JK situation, lets let things carry on in an unacceptable way, cos its better the devil you know.

| More uncertainty for the players to deal with, I just hope Ted gets his house either way quickly.

And yet they, who have much of the control over these matters and who are aware of far more details than we are privilidge to, choose to continue to work with Ted! Perhaps they are more understanding, or perhaps they believe that the situation Ted is in is recoverable and that he is the best man for the job?

It could just be as simple as he is currently the Chairmen of the club and therefore the person they need to work with. They can't force him out

| I have been a big critic of the Ted Richardson corner shop family run business, but who else has there been or is there in the pipeline in whatever format have seriously come in with a firm offer and with sound business plan to take the club forward i do not know of one ?
What we should be grateful for is that his financial problems are not linked directly to the club ie what is owed in outstanding debts money can be took for the club to pay for these or vice versa companies owed money can claim from the club. There are alot of football clubs have gone bust through this.
We must thank Ted for putting in his money to keep the club running, but yes it is time for a change.
