Agreed.
My son played in a RL tournament recently that was organised by the WTW community bods; all year 6 kids in Ossett received some coaching in advance, then they came together in Green Park on the Thursday before the Easter hols for the tournament itself. Each school fielded a girls and boys team and the WTW staff reffed and coached them through a chaotic but fun afternoon of RL; it was really well organised and great to be involved. I spoke to the organiser and said as much, but also pointed out what a missed opportunity it was; well over 100 kids from all over Ossett and surrounding, and not a voucher or free ticket to be seen.
If all of the schools involved had been allocated some discount vouchers or free child tickets for say, the Crusaders game, there's no doubt in my mind that new bods would come through the turnstiles on Sunday. I gather they organise these things on a rolling basis all over the district (they're coming back to us in the Summer) so it beggars belief that the marketing dept aren't jumping all over it.
(Btw - Southdale boys wuz robbed in the final; trophy-sharing my ar*e!)

| The 20 quid ticket pricing is the worse thing the board have agreed this season (and there have been a few bad decisions IMO)
It has affected attendances badly, and the marketting of the club leaves a lot to be desired at the moment.
Its simply not good enough. The 10 quid offer is ok but not enough people know about it.
Things need to pick up soon, I'm a tradional 'rose tinted specs' brigade member but Im slowly losing patience with a lot of things.
Come On Trinity, pull yer finger out!!!!

| You seem to have missed my point - I'm talking about attracting entirely new customers to the game by handing out incentives to their kids; those people are not going to have a season ticket or any awareness of the community team.

| I've had a flyer through today...better late than never I suppose!
Its a good offer if there's someone willing to go, who hasnt already got a season ticket.
However, I think it would be more successful if a season ticket holder could take their ''friend'' to the game on Sunday and pay the £10 entry fee on the gate.
I'm sure this would suit some people better, as I know people who are more casual fans and often don't decide to go to the game until a Sunday morning.
Can't see attendance being much more than 4K TBH.

| I got a flyer and took advantage of the tenner ticket for a mate.
I'll go for 4785 as I think it's going to be a nice weekend weather wise.

| It's not the 'take up' that is the concern for me, but how many we attract that would not be going. If the ones that utilise the reduced price ticket would have been going anyway, then we may have one happier attendee but the club looses £10 (or £8 for advance booking) and we can hardly afford to do this.

| If you can suggest an act for the club to book then I suggest you pass on your wisdom. We have had the past 2 winners of britains got talent, and it is doubtful that anyone other than the winner from xfactor would have a positive impact on the crowd. Any other act is far beyond any budget that the club has for an act. The Wildcats have always prided themselves on getting in quality acts and now all other club are following suit, yes we could easily get in same difference, s club 7 remainders, and other drab that other clubs would settle for, but as a club we
bol acts purely to pull
in new fans and at the moments there are no acts out there. Unless you know different?
