Could possibly end up being a good move for us in a similar way to when Solomona left.. It's always sad to see your better players leave but when Solomona left it kind of galvanised the squad and brought them tighter together.

I could see this going the same way if I'm honest.. Obviously Brough is a top quality player and one you would certainly want in your side for his ability, what we lose in his ability though maybe made up in team spirit and togetherness with his departure.

I've no axe to grind with Brough at all or the club.

It's more of a business than a sport nowadays and for a player it's a short career, I don't blame any player for going somewhere for a greater salary if given the opportunity. Broughy has been a cracking player for us and despite the odd brain explosions here and there he's done a lot more good than bad and always played with a passion and a desire to win.

The club have seemingly done all they can to keep hold of him, but if another club is in a position to offer him more, then I don't see what more we can do.

Despite the dislike by some on here Huddersfield are a cracking side on the up and on the verge of challenging for honours (slightly ahead of us at the moment ) and Broughy if he does go there will be a great addition for them.

I would certainly like to thank him for his efforts for us and wish him well in his new challenge...

Thanks from me Danny. know it doesn't count for much, but we have had a top super league scrum half for two years, and i know some will say trouble causer and other things that im not privvy to. but on the field he was good even class at times, he played well, and we will do well to replace him.

we move on and time will tell, lets hope we get someone to organise the side because as i feel at the moment Paul Cooke would have been a superb addition had we still had Danny and the best not mentioned hooker.

so we have cover for hooker but do we have cover for scrum half....

i dont want to be one of those he was great while he was here but now hes a T**T sort of fans, Good luck Danny and lets hope hudds are 10/1+ for the CC.

Come on guys n gals brough was never gonna play if he got injured then all the negotiation means nothing if he of had a bad game and contributed to a loss we would off cried foul.

When things like this happen there always four versions as to what happened. In this case there is Danny Brough's version, Wakefield's version, Huddersfield's version and there is the truth. People have quoted what they have been told or have heard, but unless they have been party to the whole process they cannot quote what they know as gospel. As it goes Brough will soon be another clubs problem, so let's just move on.
