Happy for the 2 pnts but think we'd have struggled today if we'd been playing anyone good'"
Playing a more competent side would've drawn out a different performance I'm sure.
Although Obst played well I think the loss of the chief playmaker had an affect on some of the decision making in threaten positions once the game was won. Having said that I think three tries were bombed which would’ve added a few more points on the board.

I though the crowd was more than what was announed I was stood on the north bank which was fairly full both halfs and west terrace looked packed especially first half. Salford didn't bring many at all the Man U match might have stopped a few of them travelling, it looked a bigger crowd than the shudds match anyway and that was announced over 5k

but i take an opposing view, we used the position we had to give paul cooke some serious time with his new team, in effect we played a trial game for much of it, and for that it was valuable and of more use than leaving him on the bench and demolishing salford, in the long term.
Jk could not have bought that opportunity prior to the game.'"
Agree with that. + more game time for Davey too.
As I said - hardly the best ever perf from us

Broughs name was mentioned alright !!! just not in public....ive heard he and a few other players had a bit of a set too in the dressing sheds just before the shudds game.
danny brough is a quality RL player - he has the skills to pay the bills for want of a better term but he has some serious box trouble !!!! it will take a very good coach to keep brough in line...if brown can do that, brough will bring silverware to your club playing behind a pack like yours.....if not....its a car crash waiting to happen!!!!
it really will go one way or the other, massivly !

The same Leigh that beat us that year at the Colosseum. We have come a long long way since then!

31007_1580947500.jpg EVENTUALLY, WE'LL WIN SOMETHING, ,MAYBE, IF I'M STILL ALIVE THEN:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_31007.jpg |

| Quote: chapster "for me its just that these types of games have been our downfall too many times over the years, today we did the job well.'"
It's interesting to see how far we have come, because I went to the game expecting a comfortable win, and a loss unimaginable. I know things can go wrong on the day, but a few years ago the thought of it would have been a cold sweat, bottom of the table tussle.
Looks grim for Salford this year. They looked well beaten pretty quickly, with a pack with no muscle at all. When they throw it around though, they looked effective, but most teams will murder them down the middle. Quins are going to get better (probably in the cup ), and so will Catalan, like they did last year, particularly when it warms up down there. Salford seemed to have a full strength team out there and were not good with it.

I don't care if we win, lose or draw as long as the team gives 100% every week and each player wears the shirt with pride.: |
|
| There's no pleasing some people is there. It's a win and a good one at that. 10 pts out of a max of 14 is not to be sniffed at.
There's a long way to go but the signs are good, we simply need to maintain form, consistency and hopefully run injury free.
We always fade badly last 1/4 of the season so that is the challenge for us this term.
Looking good but let's be thankful with the win.

| we were faultless in the first 25/30 minutes which killed the game, don't really think that's dull tbh. The second half was just a bit pointless and i know which half i preferred watching
