Watched the rerun today and I thought it was a belter of a game. Good defences are maybe stifling games, but I would want my team to defend well, and it is hard to suggest that we should go back to poor defences.

I also think Bentham was right with Lee Smith's second try, McGuire was leaning back when he kicked it and Smith was leaning forward as he started his run, and so he looked chronically-offside, but I reckon if you drew a line, Smith's feet would be behind the ball. Just.

Best team won. We do need someone else there next year, but I don't think it will be Saints. I'm not sure the fans are bored at going. I just got the impression that they didn't expect to win. That has been the general feeling on the Saints board this year, that they are a declining force.

If the ball is touched down it is a try unless there is evidence to prove otherwise, its not the VR job to prove it was a try but to prove that it wasnt, and in his opinion which is the one that matters he could not find fault, imo as with a lot more fans he was offside but what do we know eh.

Iv'e just got back from Aus and talking to their fans they think the Super League is a joke when it comes to an equal playing field.

They have a $3M salary cap for EVERY team and not this percentage thing we have over here,Obviously making the rich teams viable to keep their stars and the others being also rans in Super League.
