BUMP!!!!!!!!

DADDY COOL will hopefully be out and about on a training run on Thursday evening from 7pm. The training session will start at the Eagle pub. go down Lupset and call in at the Duke of Wellington. he will then head down Westgate and call in the Bars there before going up Alverthorpe Road to the Scarborough Arms, The Red Lion, Alverthorpe Working mens Club and finishing in the Eagle. DADDY COOL will be aided by a couple of beauties with collection buckets to try and raise more money for the ADAM WATENE FUND.

Suggest at the match on Saturday you take, with Al's permission, one of the buckets and sponsor forms to Adam's stall.

Take the bucket(s) to where you normally stand, in front of Bottle Bar, wear a big hat, you own loads, and you should be sorted. Hopefully the WE will have something in. You phoned and I emailed them, so let's see their response.

There WILL be an Adam Watene Stall on Saturday ( located between the Tea Bar & Programme Hut as usual)

A lady called Mandy Radley is also running the Great North Run for the Fund. She will be wearing one of the Adam Watene T Shirts.

Yep! That was them. Daz was trying out the DC suit, and with the help of his good lady friends, collected over £100 for a training run. The actual run on Sunday will be hell for him. Having done this 3 mile run in the DC suit, he now knows that. I would urge all who come on here to please go to the Adam stand on Saturday, tell your friends, and support Daz. 13 and a half miles in that kit, for the Adam Watene Fund is very special. Daz is driving up to Gateshead on Saturday night, after the game V Dragons, sleeping in the car, running the next day, and driving back after the run. He is on his own. Please be with him in spirit.


For The Adam Watene Fund.

I live at Durham near the A167 which is the road over which the Tyne Bridge stands.I have a spare bedroom in which a bed,which may be slightly more comfortable than a car,is available for use.
Should Daddy Cool be more comfortable with his own company,and his car,that is fine,but as it appears he may not finish ahead of the elite runners and he may find the A1(m) severely congested at the completion of his run,so I am available to purchase a Sunday lunch for him - or if he finishes a bit later,some comestibles and drink of his choice,before his return journey.
I shall also be driving back after seeing Wakefield Trinity Wildcats defeat Catalan Dragons tomorrow night and I am prepared to incur the wrath of my daughter and grandchildren by eschewing the fish and chips on offer at Wetherby,to drive in convoy with Daddy Cool as quickly as is legally permitted straight back to the north east.
I will be at the club shop tomorrow - approx 6pm and I won't forget to add to his collection.
