IMO the only reason to select JD at 6 ahead of Grix is because he's "captain" and that isn't a good enough reason to select anyone. If the "captain" of any side is only getting selected because they're "captain" then they become a weakening force on the team rather than a galvanising & encouraging influence.
In short, Hendo & JD to miss out from the 19.
Now I'm off to see where I packed the flak jacket when I moved to Surrey on Monday!!! ![]()
JD was always going to play loose forward RDM. Stand Off was a JK thing.
He palyed hooker for about 10 mins then back to loose.As for him being selecte because he is captain is utter rubbish. I am not sure if some one has posted taht in another post or not but JK would not be doing that if he felt that JD wasnt playing well enough.
As for JD playing Stand off he would handle that no problem.
I am his harshest critic and i have seen a fair few games this year and whilst he has not been as explosive as he was at centre i feel that he is playing pretty well given the game plan we seem to be playing nowdays.
Dont worry about the flak jacket mate, eveyones got their opinions

when moved grix to standoff late in the game he came up with a try and made some very good and important tackles on the saints players. his best position IMO.
