| Can't see why people knock Korki at all.
His big plus, as previously stated above is that he makes yards, even when he is first man in and the defense is strong.
That alone is worth some faults as Wakefield are lacking that at the moment.
People talk as if he fell off the planet when he left us but he was well regarded at Salford, he was their top metre gainer and in the top 10 metre gainers in the league that year. If you look on the Super League web site he was comparible with Jamie Peacock in most areas. I pretty sure we'd be happy if we signed him.
The wheels came off when he had to go to Cas. Wrong club for him simple as that.
At the Giants there were too many like him. Brown has hardly slagged him off but said he deserves a better chance. Let's give it to him I say.
I thought he made a good partnership with Stosic when they were on together. With Moore and Wilkes and sometimes Bibey we have a pretty balanced and a little bit frightening 4 props there.
I had a lot of time for Sculthorpe but we just weren't right for him. In a team whose game plan revolved around him he'd be great(ish) but that's not us. He has put some great try making passes in while he's been here but not enough to swap for hard yards.
Again as previously said, Solomona was a lot better at what he does and we all realised that the team as a whole got better when he left.
Too many posts about the small problems in a guys game rather than the positives in it. Same as for Rooney, Grix and Hendo. When they are not in we say they have to be in because they must be better than what we have, even though they haven't played after injury, then when they are in they are rubbish.
Korki is a good yard maker, balance him with a tackler
Rooney is a try scorer, cover his tackling or creativity somewhere else
Grix is an all rounder with lots of skill, either accept he's covering other holes or give him his position.
Hendo works harder than most in defense so someone else can score the long range tries
Current status is we are in 6th place with lots of improvement in us. I'm happy with that for now.
Few, glad I got that off my chest.

| What is up with everyone.
He plays for Wakey and we should back him. Let's give him a chance before we start criticising!
I think he was an inspired signing, especially when you consider the most likely alternative which would probably be to have Sculthorpe sat in the reserves picking up his wage cheque every week, reducing morale and with no cover for him.
At the very least we have an experienced committed player who gives his all. I for one hope he really gets into Bradford next weekend.

Because we don't all share your point of view.
Korky is not a bad signing but he is not IMO the great signing you and others suggest. He is nowhere near the player some on here suggest, I find it almost embaressing the adulation he receives compared to the likes of Blayimire and Snitch for example who are far more accomplished in their respective positions than Korky IMHO.

No, not 'legendary' enough to do so. And yes, this is my hobby horse, but to describe him as such really demeans that tag to the real legends of this club who actually won things and brought glory to the name of Wakefield Trinity. I've never understood the culture of over-praising the average, and perhaps thats why I don't see this as the second coming others do when technically and skillwise, we've got second best in this deal.

| korkidas is very much a confidence player, i believe he had the most confidence at wakefield therefore played better. The wakefield fans really psyched him up, dont think he got that at salford or especially cas.looking forward to seeing the bloke at home the guy shud be playing his best rugby as we all hope to see for the next 12 games in hand.
Ill never forget that almighty rampage at hull, gud look korki.

I don't think he is a great player and didn't when he was here before.
I think it's a great signing given the circumstances. We could have retained a bench warmer ala teapot (which is what he would have become after he burned the bridges) but we have swapped him for a commited player.
Good business

Are you suggesting you would rather we have Korkidas than Griffin?

I bet a good 90% on here would claim Korki to be the better player.

| Quote: Haywire "Yeah, we won't mention the lost balls, missed tackles, penalties and the effort when he tried pushing the Celtic man towards our line! Give him the benefit of the doubt and enjoy the win!'" whats your problem mate. no lost ball, got ripped out. who cares which way he pushes a player as long as he tackles them. the guy played ok for my money. got stuck in, made some good yards, nothing fancy. looks fitter and faster than i have ever seen him. think we have got a right deal. when you hear nathan brown say " it will take weeks to get sculthorpe fit enough to play for shudds" it's not as if we have players queuing round the ground wanting to play for us. this guy wants to play for us, may not be the best in the world but at least he gives 100% well done korki. you should get behind our players, not take cheap shots.

Who made a cheap shot? Its called having an opinion, sorry if you disagree - I am 100% behind all our boys and nothing would give me more pleasure than Korkidas proving me wrong and showing he deserves his God like status amongst some fans. Rest assured pal, if and when he does I will be the first one to appologise - unlike some I have been more than happy to admit I am wrong in the past.
I would love to play for the side, I could promise to give 100% if they gave me a game at the weekend, I would try my heart out and do if for no money too. Doesn't mean Kear should give me a ring though, does it?

He was fit enough to be our man of the match only a couple of weeks ago so I wouldn't pay much attention to that.
