| Quote: vastman "I'll state the obvious, no Mason Lino again. Less surprising is Gaskell and Hood.
I'd go with
1 Max Jowitt
2 Tom Johnstone
30 Corey Hall
16 James Batchelor
5 Tom Lineham
6 Jacob Miller
21 Brad Walker
35 David Fifita
24 Harry Bowes
15 Jai Whitbread
11 Matty Ashurst
12 Kelepi Tanginoa
13 Jay Pitts
14 Jordy Crowther
8 Eddie Battye
22 Yusuf Aydin
19 Liam Kay
It's an ok side, backs are good but I'd be OK with Minns at centre and Batch at S/R dropping Crowther (Batch form is better IMO)
HB's picked themselves.
That starting pack is big enough to hold its own with Saints, no excuses.
It's the hooking role where we look vulnerable, Bowes is still very inexperienced whilst to be fair on Kay he's doing well but is still in transition.'"
Pretty close to what I would go for this week.
Jowitt
TJ
Hall
Minns
Lineham
Walker
Miller
Fifita
Bowes
Battye
Ashurst
Batchelor
Pitts
Kaye
Aydin
Whitbread
Tanginoa
Lino has been a big miss early season and I hope he gets back on the pitch soon for us. Hopefully Miller/Walker shows promise. That team is good enough to give saints a challenge. May as well turn up with the aim of bringing 2points back. What a win it would be if the team can pull one out of the bag.

Pitts in SR and Crowther at 3 for me. Arona in front row.
Arona has been a stand out so is needed more than Kelepi until he gets his form back.'"
Not for me, he hasn't but we all see it differently.

Let’s hope so. We’ve pulled some unexpected but good wins out of the bag when expectation was low.
As I was writing out the team I almost put Murphy in at right wing. I don’t think we will beat saints down the middle so much like Catalans I think we need to play deep and involve our edges as much as possible.
Murphy has a lot of potential and I look at Johnstone who was 19 when he got given his chance of regular game time. Murphy is already 20 I believe and he needs the opportunity to do the same.
Pending any reason TJ or Lineham can’t play he may find chances slim. Maybe he needs to be loaned out to championship to get some games under his belt.

He has been top of the stats. Anyone replacing him has to do a shift.
If you drop Crowther to bench as well Sts will just run straight up the middle with wild abandon

Arona you may have a point as I was really 50/50 whether to include him however your really clutching with Crowther I’m afraid. Crowther is good in defence but to suggest that saints will run through the middle of us without him in is unbelievable. We have many options at LF and although Crowther is good for early defence he doesn’t seem to offer much else beyond that. Not that it’s a bad thing but I see Crowther as more of a squad player.
Much like Annakin he will get some games and put in 1000% but he I don’t think he will tie down a position long term. I would be happy to be proved wrong though and will cheer him on like everyone wearing the shirt.

That's ridiculously OTT, he's not that good, nobody is.

| I'd be tempted to keep Batch in at centre.
Saints are a pretty big side and we will need all the physicality that we can have.
There has to be some reward for those that rolled their sleeves up v Catalan but, Fifita and Tangianoa need to be in there somewhere.
Lino still missing is becoming a concern. Let's hope we're saving him for Leeds at home.

The clock is ticking that's for sure. I don't want to underrate the lad but don't think grossly overrating him helps either.

| Can we really afford to not include Kelepi? Someone ahs described him as "off form" when he's only played one game this season... We will certainly need his physicality against Saints. Shame that Lino isn't in the squad - not sure what's going on there but i am starting to get a bit worried especially now Gaskell is injured. Light at Hooker now as well. All of a sudden and one or two more injuries to other key areas and your squad starts to look significantly weaker.

Johnstone
Hall
Batchelor
Lineham
Miller
Walker
Arona
Bowes
Battye

That's only if you believe he was lacking in confidence. It's speculation but I think we can all guess the real reason and all WP was doing IMHO was shielding his players from what is still a very divisive issue.

Lol. I'll give you credit for being overly OTT in your reply to tell me I'm OTT.
It's not about the numbers. When Crowther stops them dead in their tracks when he hits them. Don't know how he does it.
Dropping him is not a massive deal. But dropping him and Arona makes it a bigger deal.

Yes. I thinks it's a shame ours will be in the centre as he can't show his best.
