| Some other team needs to wNhin on order to get shut. I would imagine he will be on a reasonable contract so might not be so simple

| Get rid - easier said than done other clubs know the situation with him being dual reg not selected unless no other choice but not even a rumour he is going here, there nothing at all.Miller been very poor so you would think someone even half decent could get the 6 spot.Go in Cats bar after game when Dickens and a player come in and do interview ask why Sammut not playing and answer always same "you will have to ask Sammut why".Not a good situation but no one appears to be knocking the door down to get him.

| Personally I'd play Godinet at 6 with smith.
I wouldn't mind so much if Miller was showing glimpses of potential but he's not.
It's not millers fault as he clearly wants to play and is enthusiastic. But he needs to show something soon. And I don't mean running around like a deer in headlights which is what his contribution mainly is.

Simple we may aswell get rid of Sammut what is the point of paying him a wage!
Waste of time. Halfback or no where. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME... Crazy by the club. Should have done it at the start of the year (get rid).
Sammut a excellent player been magic everywhere unfortunatly we haven't the charisma or the man management skills to sort it/ him out.AKA Mariano... Look at Powell, exceptional man manager. The club are losing good money on Sammut; questions should be answered.'"
I don't think Cummins rated him that highly and he was only played as a last resort. A lot of fans rated him as he was exciting to watch....but unreliable. Had a good scoring record and took on the line but lack of discipline as a defender. Not sure Lowes would have him back .....hard to imagine he would fit in. Mavericks are great to watch but a coaches nightmare.

| I wonder what his sponsor makes of all this. I think I would be cheesed off paying all that money to sponsor a player who isn't picked.

| Can only think Miller has something in his contract. On the topic of players going to waste Elliot kear has signed for London. Would have took him last year would probably been a first choice winger and good cover at fullback.

| I'm thinking Sammut must have a clause in his contract where he gets an additional bonus for every game he plays, so the club (Webster) trying to save some money by not picking him as often? Goodness knows why he's dropped and Miller is still in. Either that or he's had a thing with Websters missus.

| The fact that no one wants him shows Webster is not making such a bad call.
Miller needs to improve but he isn't on his own.
But I'd rather have a guy who wants to do his best for the club.

+1 from me... we need someone else to take the pressure off Timmy and actually create some try-scoring opportunities. Godinet has clearly shown that he can do this, whereas Miller hasn't.

I have actually heard words to that extent. Also that he has agreed to join another club for next year and isn't much of a team player. How true they are i have no idea but a fit and motivated Sammut playing at halfback would surely be a better option than Miller. Whether we will ever see that though is now doubtful.
So what are the options? None of us really knows if sammut would be the the answer, maybe he would be just as bad as the current incumbent, but he might be. The more i see of Miller the more i'm sure he isn't. If we could get Sammut off the books, maybe via dual reg or a loan, maybe it would free up enough funds to loan a back up hooker from somewhere (don't ask me where from like!) so we could shift Godinet to stand off. That said he hardly tore it up there last year. My choice if Sammut isn't going to get a go would be (probably after the saints game next week) shift Owen to fullback and bring Johnstone onto the wing which would free Hall up to play stand off. Either way for me something has to change.

Don't bet on that.

Godinet is great at 9, spelling McShane.
If we are going to change things round, why not give young Jowill a run at FB and move Hall up to 6 ?
Hall has all the attributes to play 6, so why not.
There seems to be only 2 reasons to keep Miller in at present.
Either to hope that he regains his early and pre season confidence or due to Webster being too loyal to one of his signings.
The guy is a shadow of the player that we saw 2-3 months ago.
He has it in him to do well but, it just isn't there at the moment.
