Guess that depends whether it gets called in by the s.o.s. and they have the requisite number of businesses signed up.

Hasn't the site already gone through a PI as part of the planning process for NM.

I wonder if the S106 will be a little bit tighter this time around.

Think it will get looked at as its a seperate development and involves greenbelt won't it?

What I can't understand is why they are taking such a long time to make a decision on our ground yet look to quickly get Cas's done as soon as possible. Is it perhaps that the council leader is a die hard Cas fan?

I think that they keep quoting "best case" timescales and we know that things don't usually run too smoothly.
Mind you, the influence of the council leader could make a massive difference in both cases, if he was to get involved.

Correct mate, I'll allow myself a drop of single malt tonight but that's all. Any one that has followed the sorry dragged out saga of Newmarket will know theres a long long way to go. Fingers crossed here but I'm not getting too exited just yet. icon_razz.gifRAY:

it was passed and needs sos approval which will be fine because no objections from leeds like we had. also i presume that professional people will go through everything with a fine toothcomb unlike with newmarket ! you live and learn, we don't get a stadium because we had amateurs involved!

I'm sure it will go smoothly. Wmdc have invested a lot of time effort and other things into this development Pleased for the cas fans which include my 2 granddaughters but feel for all those who are still working so hard for a solution for the wildcats

Aye, don't know too much about your project but today hearing your news took me back too our own version outside the Town Hall. Getting the full backing of WMDC, everyone being happy as Larry and thinking it shouldn't get called inio the SOS & even if it does, no way will they knock it back and they didn't. Then somehow things got very complicated.

Good look with it all anyway mate.

Thanks for that Shifty, people have short memories and are getting carried away. When Newmarket was approved it was for the whole development and not the community stadium, just the same as this approval is for the "Five Towns Park" and not the stadium. Lateral just like Yorkcourt are in business to make money, we just have to hope they (Lateral) have a conscience. Thanks for all your good wishes and good luck with either Newmarket or the redevelopment of Belle Vue.

I'll tell you where Laterals conscience resides, somewhere within their metaphorical wallet.

They, like YorkCourt Properties will take, accept, plead and support for as long as it takes to get their planning permission, at which point the cost of building a stadium will be like salt on their tongue.

Those drawing up the contracts and legal papers had better do a bang up job because without a shadow of a doubt, Lateral will delay and delay while they do their very best to mitigate the cost of the stadium away.

Developers like Yourkcourt are like leaches, they're parasitic and will bleed their host dry to enrich themselves.

Good Luck
