Quote HeathCat="HeathCat"There is that many ideas floating about I though a thread of it's own might help!!
Here are some of my thoughts!!!
1. A better ticketing system (there are more counterfeit tickets for sale on game days than anywhere else I've ever been, especially in the conservative club before a game, club must be losing thousands!!).
2. Bar and catering are appalling...the amount of times I have only had one drink or none because of the ridiculous ques etc is unbelievable. Sad but true game day is the only really time I get to enjoy myself...Club could be making £12 - £16 off each of me and my mates alone on game day.
3. I have 2 registered Ltd companies in the Wakefield area both with websites etc. (unfortunately, I don't have loads of money to assist the club in full) and no one has ever even contacted me regarding advertising/marketing etc...what are the business development team doing?
4. If the WTW brand is not working would re branding back to Wakefield Trinity along with a marketing campaign help?'"
To pick up on your points:
1. If there are counterfeit tickets being sold in the Conservative Club that's disgraceful. Have you reported this to the Club.
2. The bars and catering are "franchised" out. The Club don't run them or receive any profits but a fee for allowing the caterers to do it. It may however be more lucrative to run it themselves and I guess Michael Carter will be looking into that.
3. Have you thought about contacting the marketing staff yourself. I'm sure they would be delighted to hear from you and sell you some advertising/sponsorship.
4. Don't know if the Wildcats branding is working or not but I'm old school and would welcome a return to Wakefield Trinity. Not sure if some of the younger fans would agree with us though.
