played both on xbox and don't rate them at all so won't be getting 3, it does seem to have better graphics though

Awful game in comparison to other sports games.

In terms of quality, that's bound to happen since the third party developer Sidhe is a small one with a tiny budget in comparison to EA Sports (who basically dominate the market). So, the graphics are poor and the game engine is pretty flawed in places but for what they are the games were decent enough to play. Sidhe have obviously got the RL market all to themselves but even that is a small one so far as video gamers go.

RL3 looks reasonable at first glance since the Wii's graphics are never spectacular anyway (look at... well, any game on it!). And there's a lot more variety compared to the two releases before. If the game engine is smoother it could be worth playing. Though your average sports fan and console gamer is less likely to have a Wii than they are a PS3 or XBox360. Tough market.

The first game was a fun introduction to a sport which up until its release in 2003 had never had any kind of exposure in the computer game world. The second game was better, not just because there were more stadiums in it, but because it was more realistic in terms of game play.

Rugby League on the Wii would be absolutely brutal, no need to join a gym, you'd just get all the exercise you need there and then.
