| The problem in the main is Belle Vue. It's a 19th century ground that cannot cope with 21st century social (anti) behaviour and the need for some kind of segregation because of this type of behaviour This should hopefully improve when we get to Newmarket.
What I don't understand is why we are quite happy to be told where to sit/stand at away games ( and sometimes in no uncertain terms by the home stewards) but not at Belle Vue.
I don't stand on the western terrace or in the north stand so have no vested interest in the arguments and my only comment would be that the issue seems to have been poorly communicated. Is it really worth a 30 page thread? Things/times change. but to state that you won't darken the doors again just because you can't stand on the same bit of concrete (albeit crumbling) that you have stood on for the last xx years, smacks of throwing the baby out with the bathwater. I go to Belle Vue to watch the Trinity not because I want to stand on a specific bit of concrete. My attachment is to the team not the concrete.
As for Davide, I don't know the guy and have no idea if he is good or bad at his job, but he took the time to come on here and apologise for the poor communication and give the rationale behind the decision yet is cast as the spawn of satan by some on here. There does come a time in life or business when you have to say " that's the decision, that's how it is" . This is one of them, so why not just get on with it.

I once suggested to the club knocking the dugouts down and also installing a concrete step for kids to stand on the length of the east terrace.

That's an excellent idea.

| This thread just proves how passionate and vocal the west terrace can be.

| I think it's time to move on folks.
Davide deserves some credit for coming onto an open forum and answering supporters questions, even if some fans didn't agree with his responses.
The reasons for segregation are now clear and although some may wish to pursue the club over the detail, on the whole, we need to carry on supporting the club and the team and hopefully we will all be getting a new match day experience at Newmarket.
Together we are stronger !

| Segregation seems excessive!
I'm a rugby league supporter not a football hooligan.
And don't expect to be treated like one in my home ground.

| Quote: griswold63 "i have read all views on this and had a 15 minute phone call with davide longo, there are deffo 2 camps of views to this, i can understand davide longos point of view re trouble and fine looming if any more, but carnt help feeling the club has contributed to this with the push of more beer vans mainly down western side too, this to a minority is red rag to a bull and loutish behavour ensues, the problem here is belle vue is old and not right for segregation as the new grounds are, the western terrace has always been where alot of fans have stood, i for one, i understand you enjoy north stand now and you now create atmosphere in there but so do we in little cow shed, i sure players appreciate vocal support down there when they on attack or when coming back from a try other end,i was at huddersfield game down there and heard no racist chants or violence in fact i was stood side by side with a giants fan shook his hand at end and wished him all the best for season, the trouble is this seems to be a dying art in our game now and minority are spoiling it for majority, my beef with this is the minority arent getting punished good law abiding fans are!! this shoudnt be tough tit it should be weed the trouble causers out and ban them leave decent fans be, the communication on this was at best poor and handling by security was dam right awful making people feel like leppers and told tough tit u stand north stand or nowt, the east is no where near as good as west it is too much of a dip for mine didnt enjoy in there tbh, just feel let down with whole thing and to be told don't see why u creating a fuss come north, well i was told stay where you are n leave north for young uns, thats fine no probs with that but i don't want to be manovered in there i dont like it in there sorry but just my personal preference, i realise this post aint gunna do a scrap of difference and when new stadium comes hopefully this will be a thing of past as away will have one end like all new grounds do, but for now feel very let down and left to dry for the minority idiots that unfortunatly we and others teams have
think that probably sums up how most feel that its a shame a minority have spoilt it for the majority

| The management at BV need to get it in their heads that they have made a mistake by introducing segrigation. We are Rugby Legue fans not football fans. The segrigation makes it worse, it divides the supporters leading to an us and them situation and that is not good. They blame health & safety, as usual, but we are playing the same teams as we allways have and there has never been any major incidents. The crowd down in chavs corner were great fun but now we have lost that and I think that if WTW don't make a u-turn they will loose supporters. We are not cattle to be kept in pens.
