| Just read that the move is now on hold.
If that is the case, it feels a bit similar with the Sam Williams story at the end of last year, and then the quick change of direction in bringing in Lino. Some felt it was a last minute panic and rush, then maybe with the Fifita saga, and now we're a prop lighter, and limited options in the pivots, then maybe we need to start looking at a plan B

| I know some on here have said it’s a done deal and I really hope he has, plus why would we just release Tangata, I know he wasn’t a rampaging forward but the effort was always there and Never took a backwards step. Sometimes being a wakey fan makes you a little cynical as in what is going to scupper this from happening, ie new coach giving him a go in a struggling sharks side, nothing to lose? If so I hope we can get someone like we did In Kelepi, as he found himself out of the manly side. Guess we’ll see.

| Sam although undoubtedly a talent didn’t break any pots at wakefield in his tenure ,let’s give Lino a chance at getting bedded in with hopefully a settled team before we hang him out to dry .I know we were all hoping Lino would come among us as the new messiah but he’s come into a team low on confidence and high on injuries,so hardly the easiest of starts . I’m sure when the performances start to improve on pitch so will his . We play as a team not a one man band ,and I’m sure a top flight half would struggle at this present time .

I have to agree.
Still improvement but loads better.
That was possibly also because the forwards stepped up too but even so.

| I won't mention any names cos I don't want to get any of our players in trouble but one of very senior players told me yesterday that A Fifita is not coming the new coach over there has halted it.

| Quote: Eastern Wildcat "Hopefully that wouldn’t happen, but I get your point Traveller.
I think in 2016, when Hull KR went down, Kelly, Campese and Blair where said, collectively be on about 30% of the clubs salary cap. That’s a lot for 3 players, when they had a full squad to cater for.
A lot, considering due to injury, were rarely on the pitch together.'"
I wouldn’t argue that. My point is we can’t have it both ways. Ever since we entered SL we have had to produce teams to keep us in not teams to win it. This is a fact of life. If you want to win SL then you need players like AF as well as grafters. We can only afford one or the other or we have to depend on the gods to keep us injury free. That’s not been working well.
It’s the catch 22 we are caught in and until we can make significant improvements in revenue it won’t change. Those who think it will are deluded fantasists.

I’ve just watched the first half of Halifax v Toulouse, I think we may have missed an opportunity by not showing interest in Remi Catsy, he’s had an excellent first half. Just my opinion of course.

| I just cannot see the AF thing coming off - reminds me a bit of the Laurie Daley saga back in the 90's (?) although a bit different, because I think the club actually announced his signing - we all sat and waited weeks for his arrival but it never happened.
It's a pity we can't pick up another Korky from the NRL, or find another Walmsley from the championship, or for the older ones another Cliff Watson from RU!
