More impressive than the wins is that a group of young lads are loving their rugby league and want to play for their coaches; that's why lots of adults put in loads of volunteer time I guess. I certainly wouldn't be spending my Saturday marshalling a car park at Stanley Rangers in a hi-vis vest (with a hangover) if my lad wasn't enjoying himself. |

tonight I leaned that one of old our players from a couple of seasons ago has lost his dad in that tragic accident on the M1 this tea time

yeah just heard the same , Karen got a message from jodies mum and asked me this morning and it just hit me now , went on FB to see and saddened to find out it was the truth . poor lad only 13/14 is he snowie?

its the stuff like that going unnoticed most of the time that enable the games to go ahead . respect to you but nobody does the car park like kingy  |

for his size he was a strong player with plenty of heart

Awful news, my heart breaks for him and his family.
I lost my dad when I was 15, while there's never a good time, 5yrs old or 50, the middle teenage years is when young lads need their dads influence the most.

| Just back from Hull with another victory for us West Yorkshire lot -
Skirlaugh Bulls - 4
Crigg All Blacks - 28
Another slow start from us ( must be the travelling ) , but soon took command and were up 16-0 at h/t.
The ref then decided to march them up the pitch and after a string of bizzare penalties Skirlaugh scored ( after being denied ourselves by a blatant trip ) . I was beggining to think " here we go " , but we then scored another couple of tries & so that's us into the semi's 
Got to praise the Skirlaugh tackling today though - certainly weren't afraid of our big lads by any means - good effort from all their lads  |
