| I liked Moore but I don't see him as irreplaceable.
For me Finn can take over and will probably offer more options.

He's not irreplaceable but he was good and we missed him when he was suspended or injured which was most of the season anyway.

I'm pretty sure that Topou's quota place is already taken by Mitch Allgood

I'd have thought that's the case. We've got 7 overseas/Non fed players.

| Yes, Tupou's spot is taken up by Allgood.
This is one thing that concerns me about overseas players, and the quantity over quality debate we seem to have in Super League.
We are full now on the quota spot, but I can think of a player in our squad, who probably wont't make our first choice 17, and that the British players we have in the squad, are probably ahead of him.
I also just hope Fifita makes a good go of it, as although I do like him, I'm just not sure that we were top of his wish list.
At the end of the 2016 season, there were more NRL hookers off contract than there were SL hookers.
Personally, I would go look at a British hooker, probably out of the championship, offer him a one year deal to see if he is right for us and vice versa, and if it is going well then look at extending the deal.

For me Fifita has to play as well as he can to get himself in the shop window for the NRL, that's if he does want to eventually move back home. He's obviously a fan favorite and all we can do is support the bloke and make him feel loved, same goes for Sam Williams. Hopefully we'll have a great season and that makes them want to stay on board with what we're trying to create on the field.

| Whatever happened to Andy Ellis? When he left I believe he went to Fev, and it would seem that no other SL coach shared the view of some people on here, that it was a massive error as he has the next James Roby - consequently, he didn't make another SL appearance as far as I'm aware.
Does anyone watch Fev and can reliably report on his performances for them?

| Yes I remember Andy. I'm sure he played in all 7 games we won when Aiton was injured.

I've watched them but I wasn't impressed by most of the team never mind Ellis , like I've mentioned before if they were as good as people say they would've continued in the SL

I think Andy Ellis has left Fev.

The same applies to Kyle Wood then?! Pretty sure he was the one coming on for Aiton and doing a good job running out of dummy half, but that was 5 or 6 years ago, I doubt he's any better for his stint at Hudds, but we will see. Like many have said, it's a real shame about Moore, with him fully fit and his head in the right place, with the pack we have now he would have been ideal to create the platform for the halves and the speedy threequarters we have, but hey ho I suppose we knew when we signed him he was always likely to implode both on and off the field at some point.

For clarity - I wasn't suggesting him as an option; more a reflection on the lack of specialists in that role, and the fact the despite some wailing and gnashing of teeth on this board about his quality, he's never been seen again in SL.
