Don't agree and do agree.
Its our only chance of silverware IMHO but our record i agree has been truly woeful since 79.
It's also less important to the top clubs than it once was.
I can easily see Cas or HKR or even Salford doing it but not us. Sad when you consider the great team of the 60's was primarily a team of Cup kings all be it with a couple of championships added on. Until we recreate that mentality we won't get anywhere in the Cup. |

I see it now. Two typos there for me
The cup match is 4-6th of April (Hopefully we are not on when Grand National is on
We play Leeds in the league away on the 11th.

I would disagree. For a club such as ours the cup offers a better chance of silverware at the moment. To win SL requires consistency over 27 rounds plus playoffs. To win the cup you need a spot of luck in the draw and four or five one off great performances. Something which we are more than capable of.
Hopefully future seasons will see us gain that consistency to be able to challenge for the SL title. |

For teams like us the draw is the key thing
Even in 79 we didn't play anyone of note until Sts in the semi, and that was close.
A good draw to the semis and one good win can get you to Wembley. From there all bets are off.
Clearly the luck of the draw is not with us this year
