Great opening post (as usual from this poster).......something I commented on a few weeks ago regarding Aiton....his only flaw in his game is his distribution from dummy half....it's a bit erratic for me and I too would love to see him have a run at loose forward with Andy Ellis given a chance......Washbrook to stand off.....Sykes to centre.....Smith back to Leeds

If there's one current player we need to go out of our way to secure on a longer contract it's without doubt Aiton....absolutely tremedous player and someone we should be building a team around....next seasons captain without a shadow of a doubt......would also like to see us secure T.Smith on a longer deal too....another class player who we should be trying our best to keep hold of.....

We need some grunt up front to lay a platform for the backs we have too many back rowers so I expect to see a one or two moving on and lets see some lads move up to the squad from the reserves etc.

I would give Aiton captaincy next season ! THE MACHINE !

Obviously not seen as much of Aiton as you guys, but does seem to be a real find.
Sets a good example both on and off the field.
Seems to be a perfect character to have in the forefront as we move ahead .
Good role model for younger fans from what I have read and seen.

I think Aiton should be allowed to play 80 mins at hooker and not have to rotate and play at 13. That would mean we would have an extra forward on the bench which we also need at the moment imo. In case he gets injured we always have Washy who has played hooker before in case of emergency. He should also be made captain for next year.
