the wakefield team/squad from circa 1956-64 was a fantastic team in 1960 they should have done the double when they got hammered 27-3 at odsal by wigan in the championship final on week after trouncing hull at wembley in the cup final, i suspect they were still hungover and feeling the effects .

Wakefield scored first iirc, it didnt help though when Neil Fox limped off after the first few minutes' with a leg injury. |

Do you really mean Mark Graham at fullback. Was one of the best we have ever had but back rower. He was 6 foot 4 and full of muscles (and skills). |

It was the Centenary season - 1995/6 - in the build up to SL. It was only about a 5 month season.
Andrew Leeds came over and played full-back - one of the last generation of players to come over in the Ausie 'off-season' and play 12 month RL.
He was a brilliant full-back - pretty much flawless in attack and defence. Head & shoulders the best full back at Wakey in my time watching. 
And he was called 'Leeds' - FFS!  |
