Another good win for Stanley Rangers A U13's yesterday, over the Yorkshire Coast Titans.

Stanley put together some great attacking rugby and despite having a player who I'm sure must be the biggest U13's player in the country, the Titans couldn't contain them.

Entertaining stuff and a great result for such a new team - joint top now with East Leeds, who we play next week.

Aye, he scored a few - was virtually unstoppable from within 20 yards.

Nice lad too - they all were, the game was played in great spirit.

He scored all three of YCTs tries.

#RangersRedsU13s did exceptionally well to contain him and restrict him to just three tries.

As Bren says there was some great attacking rugby played with a number of passing moves of 6/7 passes resulting in tries.

Tough and uncompromising but also a very good natured game played in exactly the correct spirit.

More impressive than the wins is that a group of young lads are loving their rugby league and want to play for their coaches; that's why lots of adults put in loads of volunteer time I guess. I certainly wouldn't be spending my Saturday marshalling a car park at Stanley Rangers in a hi-vis vest (with a hangover) if my lad wasn't enjoying himself.

for his size he was a strong player with plenty of heart

Awful news, my heart breaks for him and his family.

I lost my dad when I was 15, while there's never a good time, 5yrs old or 50, the middle teenage years is when young lads need their dads influence the most.
