You have to ask why aren't they watertight NOW.

Thats the trouble mate, at the time the other contracts seemed watertight but they just tear them up and produce another water tight contract.

Frankly at this moment I don't really care what it looks like or where it is - we've lost that battle for now because time is against us.
With SL going back to 14 teams and essentially a franchise again we need something, anything that meets minimum standards.
We can walk it on everything else especially if we have another good year so we don't need the new Wembley.
A new main stand and a roof on the west terrace and all terracing relayed would just about be enough. It's a far cry from what we want or what we deserve but staying in SL is vital.
Sadly I'm not convinced well even get that in time. MC and the Trust have a devils own job. They need to be pragmatic yet can't just cave in either and they have perhaps 18 month to do it (at best)

| Perhaps one thing going for us is that if Manni intends to develop the rest of the site, he will need to ensure the "stadium" is externally presentable or he will just undermine his own project. To then add a revamped Western side and incorporate an Eastern side development into his overall project would get us through the minimal requirements. Leaving the Benidorm in place means we will be able to continue the excellent hospitality that the club has created from such minimal and unlikely facilities.
Entirely inadequate - yes. Entirely likely - yes.

Yup that's about the best we can get short term I suspect

| Anyone concerned with Nigel Wood going and now roger draper? From what I have read , it seems ‘the bigger ‘ clubs are trying to take back control of super league which could lead to small clubs been squeezed out ...
In more ways than One we need a new stadium and a half decent one at that..

As far as I can see this will be the first stadium on 88m's portfolio and to make the development look good hopefully they'll stick to the plans, everything else they've done looks good. Apart from the east stand which looks more like a corporate stand the other stands look basic just well designed.

| Let's hope the council see that we get atleast what was proposed on the artist's impression. We've already been given the 'budget' option moving things to Belle Vue, minus the training pitches, smaller capacity etc.
I'm still interested to know why we've aborted legal proceedings. I would have hoped we'd keep that in the back pocket, just incase they decide to carry on extracting the urine!

| So will I, however the fact that YorkCourt have been allowed to fleece the public of all that land riles me somewhat. The main thing is we get new facilities and retain our Super League status, so aslong as that is achieved then happy days.

I'd take a redeveloped BV every time over Newmarket, we've seen what happened to Salford when they went out of town. but we won't have a Koucash to save us

Neither have they now, so we'll see how they go if his cash isn't there to prop them up.

I'd broadly agree with that however it depends hugely on what is defined as a 'redevelopment'.

I'd have to disagree. I know we all have an emotional connection to Belle Vue, but the site is very limited as we know, especially with the other plans Manni has for the site....not to mention that the area is a dump. Next to the M62 provides great accessibility for everyone and potential for expansion - each to their own though. As long as we get something, I will be happy.

It is "Fifita" not "Fafita"
If you don't know the difference between "there", "their" and "they're" I might get annoyed.

I guess it is all a matter of opinion. I prefer the idea of staying at Belle Vue. It is fairly central and easier to access for fans who live in the city. I say this in spite of the fact that I drive on the M62 every time I come to a match and come off at the Newmarket turn off to drive through Stanley towards Belle Vue.
