Agree, they've just signed Luke Douglas an NRL Prop as well. Add him to Walmsley, Amor, Tasi, Richards, Thompson makes at least 6 in their squad.

Speaking of Saints, Savelio would be a great signing imo. Not sure what Saint's are going to do with him next year and he's been out on Loan at Cas but would make an excellent second row/Prop for us.

I suspect our club are very frustrated with Fifita. We have done all the hard work to get him hear, agreed a deal for 2017, only for him to renege on the deal as he has now found he can get a better deal elsehwere. A lot of work gone up in smoke and, added to the potential issue with Scott Moore, and a potential departure of Tupou, it means we are a little way from where we planned to be at this stage - which would have been just a couple of squad places, not front line players.

Very disappointing if that is the case re Fafita. However, Chester had said he wanted another block busting second rower or words to that effect, so I would have expected there to be at least one more front line player even if Fafita was staying

By all accounts Adam Walker has served notice that he's leaving. With the Chester connection you'll probably getting another Rover's Reject then.

He's a decent player and hard working. He was one of our better forwards last year, although with our pack that wasn't too difficult.

I understand the compulsion to talk down a player when he leaves your club, but to call him a reject when he's leaving a club that has just been relegated so he can stay in SL, hardly qualifies him as a reject.

Well I'd heard that Adam Walker was a done deal a while ago but it has been laughed down by Carter and Co so I'd suggest he's not coming to Belle Vue.

It's fair speculation. However it highlights the risk we have to take. Unlike other clubs we just can't afford big money speculators so have to take it steady. Problem is that lets the vultures and the parasites in and we often lose out.

I totally understand why the club didn't sign him up on a full deal (18 month) when he initially came over but it would be fantastic if we'd have been in a position to do so like say Salford are - ho hum.
