Unlike some I don't have a problem with Sculthorpe's playing ability and feel he contributes to the side and I am happy for him to be in the side.

However I think his behaviour (if true) in going to the Sun, threatening legal action etc. is unacceptable. If the rules are no drinking and he breached club discipline then he should be man enough to accept his punishment and get back to playing as soon as his suspension is complete.

If he does I would be happy to have him back in the team, if not the he can go for me.

at what point does it say in that sun clipping that he has express his concern, he has to his family, now that would be some jumped up that can interview his father then twist the words around to suit,

I'm sure that JK would have not have taken the decision lightly, and I have not been able to fault most of his judgements. If, and it's a big if, Scully reacted in a petulant way then in my book JK had no choice but to take this action. The rules are there for a reason, end of.

It looks to me that he is unhappy at losing a weeks' wage and tbh who wouldnt be, and as a result had a moan to his dad and who in turn is acting as his agent and talking to the press. As snowie says journalists' will say anything but their prayers and has more than likely twisted it to suit. It sells papers' which is what its all about. You have to remember its his dad whats doing the talking not Scully.

I expect higher standards. Not the behaviour of an elite sportsman. I want to know that the players are putting in 100% on the pitch as well as 100% off the pitch. If you dont treat your body well and you dont make the sacrifices then your performance will be effected. I feel a bit ripped off to be honest.

Alcohol ban - yes - with exceptions at the coaches discretion.

Smoking? I would hope that none of our players smoked. I know Tony Kemp did which was bad enough.

As to alcohol depends on the amount being consumed and when it is being consumed. That said they are doing a well paid and enjoyable job that entails sacrifice so I don't see that they would have many complaints about a ban during the playing season.

Quite a few rugby players smoke, I was quite suprised to find that out. It's up to them though what they do in spare time.
