gotta agree with you. Think behind a good pack and no pressure to run the show I.e. Brought will be. I Think he will have a very good season.

Well at least I'm not on my own in thinking this.

And another. BJ was occasionally brilliant in a poor side - I reckon we can see that more in next years side!

| while we are talking of BJ I'm not overly impressed with his return but there is one thing I wouldn't boo him off the park,
good luck to the lad in his return I hope he proves me and a few others wrong,
as for JS I am bitterly disappointed if we lose him as he is workhorse that any club would love, try and replace him with a up and coming talented youngsters I'm personally don't think we have one as yet,
I'm all for have a English team but not at the sacrifice of our club, the super league is struggling to bring talent forwards through and when they do they go to Australia so how do we stop that,
so before we go on about the imports we should think of the talented ones that have gone the other way and how do we keep them here

It's only really Sam Burgess though, is he really the only talented forward we've brought through since Morley? There are a few good English forwards in the game and I'm definitely more worried about the backs. Our game over here suits the development of forwards anyway (junior RL needs to move to summer as many have said so that we can bring through backs, though we'll probably never see the likes of an English Inglis pull on a shirt due to the minor nature of the sport over here). Perhaps Tronc, very defensively sound in the NRL, will prove to be adequate cover for Stosic but I do worry about the loss of players such as Snitch, Bibey and Wilkes as well. None of them "world beaters", but all of them grafters who fought for the yards and defended strongly, very important parts of our team game.

| More then willing to be proved wrong, but frankly if we see anything different from Jeffries to what we saw for 5 years previously and what Bradford fans saw in the 2 years he was there I will be surprised. Magnificent one week, invisible the next four.
Personally I would’ve preferred Obst operating at 6, with Southernwood as back up, and the club could also have kept Stosic regardless of the lack of a Macedonian/Serbian passport.

| IMO I think when BJ was last at BV he was playing in an equal halfback partnership, which worked ok, at times.
However i think DB and BJ will work a lot better. DB sculpts the plays and BJ does the running, IMO i think in a "subservient" halfback role BJ could really flourish. If you take away the expectation of carving out plays i think BJ will be free to expand his own game in a way he has never had the freedom to before.
I for one am ready to eat humble pie Ben.

Genuinely don't know. My sources were saying no deal had been done - as of the weekend - with no names mentioned - so I'm looking forward to finding out tonight myself!

my feelings exactly. last time he was here he was playing 7 when his favoured position is 6. yes at bradford he played 6 but deacon does not command the gme as much as brough. this is why i feel tht he will ahve his best sl season to date this year. a very formidable partnership IMHO.

only if we have a pack that can set the platform. that is the crucial element for me, no sausage/equivalent then we are going backwards and BJ will be as invisible as ever
