| Much as he is quality he has said he wants to go back to NRL so not much point delaying development of current centres. I think Powell is looking at props. Having a quota space spare I think taking the easy option is looking at Salford and my view is as NRL season starts sometimes a big name that would make a big impact becomes available so maybe keeping an option open is a good idea. I think he also lacks the loyalty of a Powell signing.
I still think a top class hooker needs to be on our radar. Hood is possibly at his peak and we need to replace in a year or two. I think Doyle will be quality and Smith could be class but I think we have a gap between Smith been 100% ready and Hood moving/retiring. Just an opinion.

I agree at hooker. Not an issue this season but it will be next time.
I'm sure Ste will be doing his spreadsheet thing on potential players already

| Another point is we aren't just building for now we are looking at 2026, so some of the players Powell and Mills have highlighted will need to be considered when bringing people in, so say we get NM and he wants a 2 year deal this may mean we can't sign a current target for 2026.

| Yeah, agree with what's been said. He'd have no doubt added to the team for a year or 2 but then again why not put faith in the centres we've already got from Pratt, Rourke, Hall, Croft, and Cam Scott? He''d have been stopping their game time.

| I'm still keen to see Pratt against SL opposition. I think he'll prove better than Hall.
Scott has the right sewn up for me.

After watching the Boxing Day game back again I agree. Pratt imo was the best back on the pitch. Handled Sivo well, chased back and plugged gaps and made some good runs. Didn’t miss a single tackle. Very impressive for a young lad and like you I really would like to see him in SL.
I can see him nailing down that left centre position.

I agree with both of you, I also thought Cam showed up well on Boxing Day too, he's got a fair bit of power and aggression and can make space for his winger.

I feel the only part of his game we haven’t seen much of is him putting his winger away but as a young lad in his first season he was right to keep his game simple.
One thing that I notice is how assured he looks. He plays like an experienced head on young legs and seems to make good reads and decisions. That’s very rare in a young player.
Still at SL level he will have to up the notch again. But I’m confident he can in the 40+ games I’ve seen of him.

| The only stumbling block I see to Pratt is his size. The lads clearly talented, and played really well last year. Just hope this doesn’t hold him back as for a centre he is pretty small

He is small compared to a lot but he's as tough as old boots and doesn't lack heart.
I think he'll thrive in SL

Have to agree, he’s very broad across the shoulders and quite stocky. Defensively I actually think it gives him an advantage. Hes certainly got some strength behind him so I don’t see it as an issue either.

Same. He's not as tall as some but he's not small. He's powerful.
