You say every week yet I rarley post, secondly I didn't bag bain I simply said I don't think he's a sl player in the making even though I like his attitude cos that's my opinion like I said at start of the season pratt would be When some was questioning him.and again I have an opinion that if we carry on as we are playing we will lose our next 2 and ive seen many a post saying the same esp after today.if you think were great and unbeatable then good on you,,your entilled to your opinions..but for me with how bradford have improved our injury list we could well be in trouble next week which come play offs could be a blessing in disguise

Some of the Batley fans on social media are claiming that a Trinity player (they don't say who ) injured Butterworth by deliberately twisting his ankle after the tackle was made, I didn't see the incident at all, toilet break, so can't comment really, but it doesn't sound like something any of our team would do DELIBERATELY

First half we were rubish, probably the worst half we have played since the first half of the Featherstone cup game. 2nd half we were a bit better and did enough to win comfortably in the end but we were still below par. We will certailnly need to be much better in the next few games or we will come unstuck.

I really hope that Lino is fit for Bradford because as much as Kay gives it a go he isn't a half. I do fear if we were to go into a big game with any of Lino, Gale or Jowitt missing then we might be in trouble.

Amazing how people were quick to dismiss Lino as the weak link in the squad ,and looking for a replacement ,and now we are hoping for a swift return to the team to steady the ship .Just remember his last outing against the Bulls he beat them on one leg .It is a worry though how we are starting games but then manage to reel teams in later in the game ,that is surely going to bite us at some point if that persists

Fundamentally we can't be on it week in week out otherwise we'd be goosed when it comes to the business end, a few sub par performances mid season while still winning isn't to be sniffed at, but the next three games will be the most difficult of our remaining matches. The team will know that, and the supporters should get tge jepody they crave.

Top six 2005 - Trinity.:

Sorry I can’t quote with it loading blank pages. This site is becoming unmanageable again with issues.

It’s no surprise Ketty that people are hoping Liko is back when we have 1 half back only and are struggling for any creativity at all on the right.

It’s more a case that Lino offers more than what we currently have rather than him being the answer in SL and beyond this year.

The two aren’t to be confused and are seperate discussions in terms of now and the near future.

Terrible first half but, huge improvement in the second 40.
Maybe they should have their half time brew before kick off.

We missed some firepower up front and we missed Hood in the middle too but, a win is a win.

If we can get through July unbeaten, it would be stunning.

One game at a time though

By the look of the stats ..53% completion rate Trojan I’d say there are more players in our squad that fall below expectations and may not be the answer next season .lets be honest here if money was no object and we were a Wigan or Saints who are magnets for top quality player ,he probably wouldn’t have been signed in the first place , along with lots more may I add ,but we cut our cloth accordingly at this present time

53% isn’t good enough but that’s unusually low for this season on average if you look back. You can’t isolate one game of low completion and use that to beat a stick saying that players may not be the answer next season imo.

Also in that 53% which isn’t good enough there was half the starting team missing with no second half and our 3rd choice 9 (who went well).

McGillvray
Lino
Lawford
Atoni
Bowden
Hood
Doyle
Vagana
Boothroyd

All missing. To win by 22 against a team who’s not lost many this past few games despite not playing well in areas is actually a solid result.

Nobody is saying that this years squad is of the quality to achieve the clubs ambitions in SL next season. But it’s not SL and it doesn’t have to be. What’s true to fact is we sit unbeaten at the top of table by a distance and all players are of high enough quality for this season.

Next season recruitment is underway to strengthen and some players in this seasons squad will not be with us next season. That’s the reality but their focus is this season. I don’t disagree that some won’t be here next season in SL and probably would struggle to step up (or back up) but I do think that they should be judged on this season in this league currently and congratulated for what they are part of and not criticised for what they might not be part of.

This world was never meant for one as beautiful as me. WTRLC 2012 to 2014 "The wasted years" Magic Weekend "Whipping Boys" 2013, 2014 & 2015 2017 - The year the dream disappeared under Grix's right foot. 2018 - The FinniChezz Bromance 2019 - The return of the Prodigal Son. 2020 - Keeping the faith.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_2597.jpg

I would guess 50% completion rate is our norm for most if not all our 1st 40 minute stints. Add that to the penalty count against us and it adds to some real dour rugby until these part timers get tired.

Possibly due to injuries, but there seems to be a decline in our play since the 1895 final. yesterday's six tackle completion rate was probably the worst this season.

I don't think there's no doubt that injuries have caught up with us with the amount of not just our starting 17 out, which is about 8 atm, but also their backups as well. So we haven't been able to rotate players like probably DP wanted to, so there'll be some tired legs out there, after 22 games. Also, some of the older players like Pitts and Ashurst have played about 20 games already, so I think it's just caught up with us a bit and it's gonna be interesting if we can keep this streak up.

I thought we were fairly poor the week after Wembley against Widnes but that was almost expected and then we were a little better against Halifax. Then against Barrow, I thought we did well, nothing flash but a solid performance but against Batley that first half was about the worst we've played this season.

Tbh though most games apart from a few, I don't think we get out of 3rd gear, apart from when we need to and we change gear, then we stick a few moves together in 20 minutes and pull away. So hopefully these next 3 weeks the guys can up their game and we can get some bodies back on the park and put a more complete performance

Just listened to the WTH podcast and we've scored 166 tries in 22 games and Max has 38 assists and 11 tries, he's having a cracking season. Plus we have 5 players that are in double figures for tries. Also, they touch on Olpherts and the season he's having, which even just watching him I thought he's been having an eye-catching season for us, but he's averaging about 170 meters a game and 50 post-contact meters, he's turned out to be a really great buy.

I don't think Batley are getting enough credit. They played well early on to put pressure on us. With only 1 half back and 1 hooker it was always going to be difficult.
