Maybe, half the time fans have no idea why they’re given as it’s down to refs interpretation and they’re hardly consistent between different officials and tolerances. It’s quite frankly frustrating.

Penalties also tend to be reviewed on the TV games which gives some accountability and explains as to the reasons behind them.

I think the game has been sped up too much also which has led to a decrease in quality. You have some tired teams after relentless repeat sets with no break and it leads imo to some sloppy play.

I think we need to go back to the way the game was managed 10-15 years ago personally.

I watched a game from many years ago and it was far more exciting than the tiresome predictable tactics of today. Teams of the past used to have to break down teams with quality plays/kicks and create the gaps and space.

These days the tactics mostly are to get on front foot with fast plays and one up drives behind the ruck to force six agains and capitalise on a team on the back foot with a more direct but less exciting style. Quite frankly it’s boring.

Only time I watch S L is when Wakefield play . The Game as been going down hill for years the over all standed from the rugby to the refs, to the advantage of the so called big teams is a disgrace

The thing I don't get is RL and Sky saying they want to attend net zero , yet we have planes flying across the channel with teams and fans.

That was a terrible game I thought.

Two poor disciplined teams. Low in quality play and poor inconsistent officiating with lack of control. Made for a poor game.

I hear that some SL clubs are looking to bring in local acting coaches to allow players to brush up on their theatrics.

Agree it wasn't great to watch - and it seemed to last hours - I'm sure it was around 10 o'clock before the game finished ! For what it's worth I thought Child did pretty well controlling the game - lot of players out there who weren't that interested in playing RL !

Done mine, it was more like a dissertation than a survey answer but essentially, 14 team comp, sacrosanct annual domestic and international representative programme, huge investment in relaunching schools & community game

You would think unless the survey is a landslide in favour of a format that they have already pre decided as you say. Probably an element of lip service but they will have a strong idea of the direction they wish to go in.
