Yeah, I had problems with logging in yesterday, even though my browser remembers the username and password. It seems to work better if you register actually on the planning portal itself rather than the WMDC site.

Press register at the top and you can find the planning application if you just put Newmarket Lane in the search as it's the first one, or use the code TRB gave in his first post.

the previous application that we objected against got a total of 184 and appears to have stalled since.

Yes Wollo, Surely there must be a threshold of objections that when reached the Planning Authority has to take some sort of notice otherwise, from what you're saying, 5000 objections could still be ignored if they so wish.  |

I think objections just mean that the application has to go before the Planning Committee rather than just be rubber stamped by the Planning Department Officers. With the Labour Group having such a big majority I'm sure it's still just a formality but at least it gets discussed and is out in the open. If only someone could grow a pair before those meetings.

Are there any non-Labour councillors on the Planning Committee or is it just Box's minions ???
If so, then surely some of them could raise the issue ??

Not sure, but I know that objectors are allowed to attend the Committee meeting and can elect a representative to speak against the application. |
